XBOX just hijacked my MSFS 2000 game. Purchased game from MSFS three months back and just recently updated my e-mail. Thern all ■■■■ breaks lose. Lost all my peripheral settings. Anyone experience this?
Say what? An XBOX has hijacked your flight sim because you changed your email address?

Sure. So, I purchased a digital copy of MSPF Standard 3 months ago. Everything was working fine up to today when I launched the program like I do every time and after the Blackshark splash screen (while loading) XBOX live now wants me to sign in and apply some general settings to my game experience before it will complete the load.
Does that help? Sorry for the melodrama but I don’t get out much these days.
Running on PC, by the way and have long cut ties with XBOX game pass. Least I hope~
Did you sign in and apply the general settings…? The sign in screen pops up every now and then. What happens when you sign in?
Did two things yesterday. 1) updated my e-mail address and 2) purchased the Aerosoft CJ550/700 from Marketplace. Otherwise, I’m stumped to understand what changed.
It did ask me something about general settings, pointed out that I had “0” gigs set for buffer and detected all of my peripherals.
It’s coming up every time now. If you try to escape out of it, it takes you to another screen with a beautiful view but asks you enter, putting you right back where you started. Looks like MS has gone to great lengths to keep XBOX in the game both figuratively and literally!

I’m not sure what you mean by this. Every Microsoft game uses Xbox game services, so yes, it’ll pull up every now and then.
It asks me to ‘Switch Accounts’ (which just loops me back but recognizes my new e-mail) and “let’s play” but there is no escape.
So it doesn’t recognize that you own the game?
To confirm, did you buy the flight sim, or just download it while you had Game Pass?
No, I clearly bought the digital version. The account show as much and I have the invoice to prove it.
Did I inadvertently torch my old MS account in the process of updating my e-mail address and now XBOX thinks I’m renting it. XBOX login/user name hasn’t changed.

Are you saying you originally played with game pass on one XBox account but then purchased the game with a different XBox account using a different email address ?
If you are now on a different XBox account it will lose any settings that were on the cloud.
Hey guys, there is an Xbox Live/Signing issue vis a vi Games & Gaining that is currently being worked on. It must be something at their end. (On the PC, I rented it, then purchased it.)
Closer inspection says it has to XBOX game series X!S and the Console and Titanfall2.
I should still have the same XBOX account. I’ll double check.
