I’m not sure if this is an Xbox issue or something to do with MSFS2020.
I tried today a long haul from OMDB to EGLL - normally a 9+ hour flight. Following take off and setting the flight to autopilot: If I go away and there is no interaction on the controller, the Xbox X ‘screensaver’ cuts in when the controller goes to sleep (the light on the controller goes off). The flight simulation pauses.
Now I want the flight to run for 9+ hours without interruption - so how can this be configured.?
You’ll need to dig through the power save options to change it.
I don’t have an Xbox anymore, so I couldn’t tell you. I know Playstation only puts the console to sleep and shut down when its not actively running a game and is set to do so after 2 hours of actually sitting idle by default
