I’m currently do a long haul flight on my Xbox one series S should I be concerned about the console overheating?

id be more worried about getting black avionics or crashes to xbox homescreen just as you are about to touch down

No I wouldn’t be concerned over that.

We have the Series X and between everyone in the house over the Christmas holidays, the console was running 18 hours a day with no issues. I’m sure the unit design has been stress tested.

i used to have the one x aimed at my ankles was great for keeping them warm on forza. both series s and x are no where as good after a couple of hours of flying, very disappointing. you`ll be just fine on your long hauls
Just make sure all the vents around the xbox are not block and you should be fine.
