Big warning for the livery pack. Windows are Pink, Livery is pixelated. A goodie is the bredok3d text on the engines. But the desperation of the Xbox users will lead to a lot of poor souls like me.
There is no denying that he knows how to make money!
Because of complaining about a livery that is not resembling the real thing? Why should it, you’re right.
This is a commercial addon not the result of a primary school home work made public for free.
My god, what a lazy company. Thanks for the heads up. Are the windows really pink?! The text on the engines is just awful.
Really… what did you expect from a copy cat…
I swore after buying the disastrous Bredok3D KBOS that I wouldn’t give that developer another dime. When I first saw the livery pack I almost convinced myself that you couldn’t really mess up liveries right? Glad I came to my senses even though I am a said desperate Xbox user. The E-170/E-175 also looks pretty scary from the marketplace score of 2.1.
I was wondering about the Embraer 170-175 and if anyone has it on XBox.
you propably don’t really want to buy a plane with a score below 4…let alone one with a score of 2
Always keep in mind you have to give at least one star when rating a product.
I mean, would you buy something on Amazon that is rated 2.1 ?
Reviews are relative though. Not saying this aircraft is in any way good, and I don’t have it or plan to get it myself, but some people like it I’m sure.
You can influence marketplace scores just as well as Amazon ones.
I bought it and the Gee Bee last night. It definitely works so I gave it 3 Stars. That’s as far as I’ll go on that one. If you’re looking for a little commuter jet it’s OK , not great but I didn’t get my hopes up seeing the price. Don’t buy and come back to me complaining though, outside it looks great, inside is a little rough around the edges and the flight model is OK. You get what you pay for and it’s ~$20 so.
Love the R3 but I had to turn my controller vibrations off - it seems to just vibrate constantly after take off. Haven’t had much time in it other than that but I think it has potential if you are looking for a fast sight seeing aircraft with decent range.
As far as marketplace ratings go I don’t really trust them. I think you have some people who assume they should get a study level aircraft and 100% accurate flight model for $20. Ain’t gonna happen so that’s why I felt the 170-175 wasn’t that bad. Now if I paid PMDG level prices and this is what I got then yeah I’d be upset. Just my 2 cents.
Illustrates my point about reviews. They’re relative to the individual. And also more importantly about expectations. You’re absolutely right, some people expect something with the realism and fidelity of a DCS F-18 for 20 quid. And then they wonder why they’re disappointed.
In my opinion 20 quid for something that has okay/decent flight dynamics and looks fairly decent inside and out is proportionate.
I find it infuriating that a developer like Bredok3D is allowed to sell this low-effort content that seeks to exploit the inexperienced consumer. If there’s any silver lining to it, it might be that MS/Asobo will make a small profit after paying for distribution etc.
Thanks for your info. Yeah I don’t always go by the ratings, they are very subjective some may like simple and don’t mind a few things not functioning well. Others get out the pitchforks and scream on the forums if a windshield wiper doesn’t move at the proper speed. I get that, so that’s why I asked on here. I was more curious is all, I probably won’t get it at this point.
I just bought the Bredok3d liveries as well. Quite clever to start a “pack one” livery set knowing that us xbox users really want real world liveries. well they threw us a bone and im sure a lot of people who have been waiting for it will have to settle for what we are given for we have no choice unlike pc users. It is interesting that they have started a new “liveries” section in marketplace. I am hopeful other developers will contribute to the other default airliners in the near future in this liveries section in marketplace. what I don’t understand is how this developer can get these liveries licensed and a handful of flight sims can as well like infinite flight etc. and yet microsoft cannot? Even a custom/ real world livery maker as an option impletmented into the sim would be a game changer for sure
That is a pretty big deal. Didn’t notice the new category when I looked in the store.
I’m sure other developers will provide livery packs in the future. Hopefully, when we get a freeware category at some point we might even get free livery packages similar to those available on Pc.
I think this is was Jörg stated in the last QnA - Asobo/Microsoft is working to get more liveries in the marketplace.
So it’s a closed system that also accesses the internet to obtain its data albeit from the cloud! So why can’t MS also have secure cloud servers to access Navigraph, Vatsim, headtracking etc?
It is like it is on console (also on playstation). It is a closed eco sytstem. full stop. And as i stated - when microsoft will open it - then they also have to open it for other 3rd partys - they are not able to control it.
A public rating system will always be personal. What would be a tad more interesting is a authors ‘explanation’ of said rating. For me 5 stars means perfect or works as designed and 1 star means a complete fail. I’m sure others have a different thought process. If I could rate MSFS I’d put it at 3. I enjoy playing the game. I had higher hopes but I have adjusted. It is not close to prefect but it is not a complete fail.
On the plus side I’m looking forward to more interesting planes in the future. Since I was burned once on the PMDG roll out I’ll sit back a few weeks and watch reviews before I drop any more quid.
