Xbox marketplace : no new planes

Not exactly…

Jorg said 55 planes in total have been submitted to the marketplace. A significant number of them are already released.

Interesting, a larger DC-10. Is there one available on PC?
Would be nice with a Fed-ex or UPS livery

Or how about a MD-80?

Tristar L1011 and Hawker Siddlely Trident…a couple old classic airliners. Love to see a BAE 146 too on Xbox.

Something interesting could be the Boeing Stratocruiser

Totally can’t wait (if they’re coming to Xbox) for the Kodiak and the Twin Otter.

Do you have the BN-2 Islander? Very similar
The Kodiak is one I will grab as well should it hit Xbox

It’ll be a while mate, if at all. Sadly.

A DC10 flying hospital that can actually fly & an aircraft carrier on which the F18 can land & take off would be a good start, instead of awashing us with more trainers & props.

One of the things that I love about MSFS is the amount of different aircraft we already have. While I could fly a A320 daily, that gets a bit repetitive, which leads to boredom. This morning I flew a C152 over the Panama Canal, then I flew a Supermarine Spitfire over India. After that, I created a VOR flight plan in the King Air 350i, and flew it with no issue. My point is that all those different aircraft, including those trainers, give us a chance to try different things from different eras of aviation. The more I try those things, the more I grow as a simmer. I get those things aren’t for everyone, and no one is forcing you to buy those things. But, you never know when you might see an aircraft that gives you a greater sense of enjoyment in the sim.

Thanks my East Bay Friend! I get that… well… lots of folks will never be satisfied with what’s on offer in the marketplace. But I can find things within the hangar I already have to enjoy in the meantime.

The Xbox marketplace seems to lead to me buying planes l‘d never would otherwise. The Fouga is really nice for example. Would the Twin Otter have been released I‘d have bought that and would have been surprised by bad sound and low poly wheels and low res paint schemes. As it stands I got a positive surprise instead. Just like with the Spitfire. Maybe we should be more open and embrace the diversity of historic planes that seem to pile up in the store. Ju-52, Spitfire, Fouga, Fokker, Do Wal etc. The fly well and I have no issue with getting to know the world in them instead of a disappointing maschine from an arrogant developer.

Marketplace follows the money $$$ If they see that sales are rising for sceneries instead of aircrafts or utilities, developers will jump to make more sceneries. But I hear ya. Hopefully by April something new will roll out.

Haven’t bought any scenery besides Bejan‘s seasons and the Orbx Meshes. The world is otherwise beautiful enough.

Regarding the Twin Otter, I don’t think it’s bad per se. And it will surely get better. But the reaction and strait up lies of MK and the way he treats people in the official forum puts a major no-no on that developer. Has put the CRJ on indefinite hold for me too. MK was always a bit … special … back in the days of FSX/P3D. But this here is too much.

On the other hand there are small developers I have never heard of who instead of talk simply prove that there is a way to achieve what MK says is impossible. I’d rather support those devs. And if it leads to me getting to know unique planes, all the better.

Capt. Sim released the 777 on xbox & pc, but why did they just release the 767 on pc only?

Ugh! Speaking of hangers, I long for MS/Asobo to add a hanger that we can walk through to view all of our planes, not just a graphical checklist.

Let us use the drone mode and go around inside our hanger to view all these awesome aircraft all at once
