Can’t go wrong with either. Especially the M20R.
Of the carenado planes I have the seneca and the skymaster. I would recommend the latter over the former but it needs a patch on xbox too fix the edm800 gauge.
I agree for both ,im satisfied and i have also the 337 all goods
Debating it too. Have the Seneca and it’s amazing IMO. Wondering if I get the M20R as well. I definitely want the just flight arrow when it releases. I think I’ll probably wait for it since they are similar.
Whoa, I got exactly those two and put the Skymaster in the list. They’re both fast, well modelled and strong cross country type flyers. The Seneca for dealing with mountainous stuff, the Mooney for getting lower over the flat plains. They’re both really strong performers.
I bought the M20R too. It’s a wonderful plane. I’m very satisfied with my purchase.
It’s much more challenging to fly than any other single engine piston in the game. I’m currently using it as a trainer with my new VelocityOne flight yoke.
I agree. - the Mooney is great to fly and a challenge too - lots of good material and discussion online if you’re interested. - e.g.,
Landing a Mooney - Safety Culture - General Mooney Talk - Mooneyspace.com - A community for Mooney aircraft owners and enthusiasts
I agree. Having to somewhat eat my words where Carenado are concerned haha.
I maintain though that the PA28 is average, and the C182 is awful.
But the Mooney is very, very good indeed.
Has anyone tried the BN-2 Islander by Blackbox? Reviews look mediocre but I do love a good twin engine prop.
it’s a fine plane and has good flight model. do not expect the depth of a kodiak but i do not regret buying it
it has no ingame checklist, the co-pilot sits behind you on a passenger seat and the visuals are last gen.
it flies and sounds great though.
you have hit the nail on the head
Once their Trislander releases (soon hopefully… It looks awesome!), Blackbox are revisiting and revamping the Islander bringing the flight model and visuals up to spec. They have a good record for updates etc, so I have no doubt they’ll do a great job.
As nice as the Trislander looks and as much progress as it seems to have made over the Islander, it still looks decidedly last gen compared to something like the Quest Kodiak. Especially the cabin. The Trislander certainly looks passable but I would not call it up to standard set by many other addons.
Looks are not everything though. It still can sound and fly nice. Let’s wait and see
Feeling utterly jealous of the PC players who’ve purchased the PMDG 737 right now.
One day…
We’ve got enough to keep us going, mate. And by the time the WASM issues are sorted, the entire 737NG range should be available for us to choose from, not just the -700. ![]()
True, I’m more an airliner pilot over private though.
Fair enough, yes the choice isn’t exactly great there unfortunately, is it. The default airliners are not fit for purpose. They’re very, very poor, IMO.
It is sounding like the 777 and The Queen will be coming from them as well. So at least a couple more for you in particular to look forward to. JF’s 146 should see its way over eventually, that’s if Just Flight is still coming this way. Come SU10, surely a whole host of possibilities will result.
Yes ! We need good airliners on XBOX ![]()
