Hi,
I saw FlightSim being available for cloud gaming and tried it on my One-S. Sim started quickly and showed a setup menu. But that’s all I can get, tried any button, stick, trigger but no action on screen. I’m stuck in this menu.
Is a xbox one controller not supported, do I need something else?
Have fun,
Stephan
I’m having the same issues. The d-pad is almost completely unresponsive. The left stick won’t work on the game select screen (where you can choose world map or other activities) but works when I use the bumpers to navigate to the other screens.
Even on the other screens however (controller, other options, settings, etc.) there are still control issues that stop me from truly navigating the menus and making selections.

For reference, I’m on Xbox one-S and I’m using older and newer controllers.
I’ve even tried plugging in a wired mouse but couldn’t get that to work either.

For reference im using the gamepass android app on a Samsung Z fold 3
Hi,
I tried again yesterday (doing the same thing over and over, hoping for a different outcome
) and noticed that I’m stuck in the search edit field. When I hit the (A) Button, the virtual keyboard comes up and I can enter text. But I can’t exit this field.
Can confirm the Xbox is not working.
Hopefully this will get resolved soon🙏🏼

Flight simulator starts up in cloud gaming environment but Xbox controller has nu effect on menus on both Mac and Xbox one. This is very frustrating because the game is useless and the only reason I have Xbox game pass ultimate. Unfortunately the Mac cannot be used to reset controller settings. It seems I am in a deadlock situation.

Same here on XBox One X
It does not work! I have tried it several times. The game loads but I can’t navigate the menu properly so I can’t create or select a flight.

Hi - I am also trying to use Thrustmaster Hotas 1 on Xbox one s using cloud gaming. I have done all the usual updates configure etc. but still not working. I have used the controller on Xbox One S in direct connect on several games which work fine. As soon as I try cloud it is not recognized.
I also tried Thrustmaster Steering wheel which works fine in direct gaming. As soon as cloud comes into play not recognized.
Is this a needed update from Microsoft to get these working?

Guys don’t forget to vote! I also had this problem I also made a post but nobody got back to me. When I start I can see an arrow cursor in the top right, as soon as I move the analogue stick it disappears. It’s also not suppose to be an arrow it’s suppose to be a circle with a dot in the middle. There’s something seriously wrong here.
I’ve tried it on my Xbox and android and iOS tablets and from the pc game pass app and I always have the same problem. Unable to navigate through the settings therefore unable to start a flight making it unplayable. Other games work fine. Someone from the team please acknowledge this issue.
It’s frustrating that others are not having this problem but some users are. Any guidance on trouble shooting will be good or if you know when this problem will be fixed.
Vote the thread at the top of the post the more people see maybe they’ll fix it sooner
Same issue. I went out and brought a Hotas 1 just for this and it’s totally unusable ! Can’t be that hard to fix.

Hello everyone,
This is a known issue with the Xbox Cloud Gaming Services of Microsoft Flight Simulator if you have previously played a non-cloud version and changed your controller settings to something other than the default profile. The devs are working on a permanent fix for this, but we have also published workarounds for two scenarios:
- If you have MSFS installed on another device like a PC or Xbox Series X|S
- If you do not have MSFS installed on another device
Please see here for details: KNOWN ISSUES (Last update Mar 08, 2022) – Microsoft Flight Simulator Support (zendesk.com)
Issue with navigating menus when using an Xbox controller with the Xbox Cloud Gaming version.
- Workaround:
* Launch Microsoft Flight Simulator from your original (non-cloud) install and reset the Controller profile to “Default.” After that, exit MSFS and re-launch the Xbox Cloud Gaming version and it should function properly.
* If you do not have access to your original (non-cloud) install, you’ll need to delete your cloud save. To do so, follow our guide “All versions - How to delete your cloud save.”
