I would love to see MSFS use the iPad as a second device using Xbox Smartglass as some games do. They could allow us to have a map / gps open for example and not use our main screen.

It’s not an integrated solution, but I like to use LittleNavMap for that. It offers flight planning, AI traffic display and more, taking A/C-data right from the sim and running a webserver which can be accessed from any device on your network.

For Xbox users, the developer needs to provide a data out port allowing connection over wifi with other devices that can read the data.

No, the Xbox version of MSFS doesn’t support networked SimConnect.
