Just guessing here, but I suspect the Xbox has more overhead for addons since everything else was dialed back.
Yes, i like this reply. Unable to alter the graphics.

Mid January isnât going to go down well with many Xbox users. Disaster for the devs on delivery. The 40th anniversary is a failure for console players. Out of interest is the issue the same for PC? The ones I know have no issues to this extent.
I sure they do, sorry XBox S
I wonder if the pictures on Microsoft Store advertising Xbox versions will be changed to this downgraded fidelity. They should be
changed because right now it seems like false advertising.
Itâs what iâm thinking as well.
Do you play on PC or Xbox?
No. The issues are different on PC this time. This is an Xbox (and I use this term jokingly) feature.
But is the code for both platforms not the same? That is what I was led to believe.
I think this is due to the work theyâve been doing separately with chipping away at XBOX memory leaks.
However, Seb stated itâs hardly ever used - which means it is sometimes used. This could be mainly when heavy add-ons are in use.
Technically, youâd be able to tell as terrain detail would drop when using them.
You can complain, but to say your life is ruined for three months because of it, is really really stupid. Being in the hospital and canât work for three months, yes peopleâs lives get ruined. Sit and stare at a wall for three months because the game you enjoy isnât working the way you want it to, clearly, also ruined. Coming from an older gentleman made it that much more hilarious. Back before I even owned MSFS I have to live through peoples streams. Did it suck, yes. Did it give me my fix, yes. Did I feel my life was ruined because I wasnât playing it? No, I had other stuff in my life to divert my attention.
Sorry man but it just looks like you want to shoot people down all the time on here. Donât criticise people for being more passionate than your incredible self
But is the code for both platforms not the same? That is what I was led to believe.
It is almost entirely the same code.
But the code seems to have triggered something on Xbox that makes one of its safety features kick in and reduce graphical fidelity to keep FPS constant.
The same code can cause different issues on different hardware.
Make sure not to direct comments towards each other. Thank you.
I have to admit, although I can live with it for a while - Iâm actually interested in getting used to it and then enjoying the difference when the fix goes live mid Jan - it does seem very odd this isnât hot fix territory. They say itâs a small fix theyâve already implemented - just drop a hotfix.
It certainly seems like a big enough issue (especially before Christmas sales) to warrant one.
Best I can tell from staff posts, hot fixes get pushed when the game is literally broken for some users.
As annoying and noticeable as this issue is, it is not by definition game breaking.
I agree, I wasnât aware the game had to be technically unplayable.
Edit - There have been hot fixes in the past to fix graphical issues (low Res ground textures) and other non game breaking issues such as lighting fixes. I think the one I just found was the SU5 hotfix.
Anyway, if anyone wondered what the Series S version of MSFS would look like in 4K, the current build gives it to Series X users! ![]()
I notice it more when flying low over cities like Paris etc. Its out of focus for about 3 seconds then slowly it picks up, the aircaft doesnt stutter but i can manage with it until they can fix the problem. Ive got no choice. Xbox S.
Anyone who tried with rolling cache on?
