Hi all.
It’s been a while since I last played the game, now when I start it up I get a window telling me that my Xbox account for Flight Sim 2024 is not my linked Steam account. So I logged in, found my profile (the only profile I have on Xbox) and it still said the same thing. I then logged in to the Xbox app on my PC and found out that the accounts didn’t appear linked, so I linked the Xbox account with my Steam account (this has been working before, so wonder how that ever worked).
Now, it’s STILL giving me the same thing in MSFS2024. I can’t progress beyond the loading screen because my accounts aren’t linked. I only have one Xbox account and only have one Steam account and when I try to login to my Xbox account from the MSFS2024 login screen I see the correct profile picture and the correct name but still it complains.
Any ideas anyone?
Did you try a restart of your PC?
Try reinstalling xbox app. And..restart pc.
Reinstall msfs 24 on Steam it is relatively quick.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately it’s didn’t solve it. However I managed to solve it now.
Turns out my Steam account uses my Gmail address and my Microsoft account doesn’t. So I had to log on to my MS account, add my Gmail address as a secondary e-mail to that account and THEN login with my Gmail account (And then all of a sudden it found my profile (the SAME xbox account) but this time the game started.
I tried using the Xbox support but only got to chat with an AI that gave me all the wrong answers it could find and didn’t manage to help one bit.
But anyways, issue seems to be resolved for the time being.
