Watched it live… was an amazing sight to see!
It’s not simulated. That’s just how the normal moon looks like in the sim during a moonrise in the sim regardless of when it happens.
I tested it on Fiji last night where the moon is directly overhead at the peak eclipse, and it looks just like a normal full moon in the sim.
