Nothing changed it all started after AAU1
Well I had a CTD but no crashreport.txt can be found
OK ā¦
Hmmm, maybe it is only created in the Beta branch ![]()
Hopefully they can add this crash report in the future with all new builds.
The info in the logs are trash with always the 0xc0000005 which could mean al lot of things
Surely not everyone suffers from this as it all depends on
1 LOD slider
2 Texture resolution
3 Altitude
4 Speed
5 Cloud resolution
6 The amount of views (number of displays)
So what do you propose with you given info ?
At the end there is still a bandwidth error where there is now bandwidth issue on the client side whatsoever
Was skeptical, but hey, no risk in trying. Lowered bandwidth to 40mbps, and set rolling cache to 8GB (was disabled), and so far, no issues anymore.
Still too early to say something conclusively, since I do have days where I donāt have issues with unlimited bandwidth, but itās looking promising sofar.
Me too and i try to priorize flightsimulator.exe network traffic over other network traffic by using Netlimiter
I got this message recently only when experimenting with disabling rolling cache on XSX. With enabled rolling cache (default 8gb) there are no messages about bandwidth, but sometimes the marketplace is unavailable.
Update from my side⦠Can confirm that the 40mbps setting does the trick for me. No Popup anymore (so far).
With or without rolling cache
Loading times not to long when starting the Sim?
Rolling Cache off, bandwidth limited to 40mbps. No Change on Loadingtimes whatsoever. No unusual reloading of textures etc.
How are you limiting bandwidth? and where?
The 40 Mbps suggests the issue is the CDN rationing bandwidth at times. If so then MSFS needs to automatically and gracefully adjust to the rationing, log it with Microsoft so they see the pattern, and most importantly, not put up a message interrupting flight.

Hm⦠I had bandwidth problems during the last few days. However, today all is fine again. Without using this trick. So⦠could be the 40 Mbit/s trick isnāt actually solving the problem: maybe MS solved it on the serverside and so it only SEEMS the 40 Mbit/s trick did it. ![]()
The last few weeks it was indeed kinda random. Some days nearly unflyable, some days totally fine. We have to wait and see if the suggested fix is really one.
I think any local settings are coincidence. Think of it like Netflix (or any streaming service), when bandwidth is suddenly limited by the server, Netflix continues playing but with reduced resolution (that you sometimes notice, sometimes donāt, depending on severity). MSFS on the other hand, stops and puts a message in your face. Itās just a question of how MSFS is designed to adapt to variable stream rates. It should be more graceful and just allow you to continue.
More than "MSFS stopās it:
- They stop the game (pause)
- They disable online data ā Blurry and texture out from hell
- Enabling the online: CTD (at my pc)
We have to think about how we get MSFS offline to like like with online data ⦠No one knows when they cut the serverās because ms like to cut itā¦^^
Interesting that point. I ignore the message now. It dissapears off the screen. SIM however doesnt stop and just continues. Then a few minutes later I get a message that the SIM has been reconnected.
I just ignore what it says. It never stops the flying for me. But I suppose if you actually follow the advice about āgoing offlineā then you screw your flight.
So I just do nothing just fly on.
