I just bought the An2 which I can’t download and the sim won’t start either.
What’s the point of all the nice addons if nothing works?
I’m thinking about spending my money somewhere else in the future than on a unuseable sim.
I’m simming since FS98 and now i’m very frustatet.

Same here in Hamburg, since yesterday it’s almost unplayable.

Additionally I got huge problems downloading Updates for Add-Ons… Bandwidth speed goes down to 0,01Mbit/s while having a 1Gbit connection.

Just to pile on,I’m having the same issue here in the Netherlands.I tried moving to a few different servers, but no juice.

Then I tried a flight in Penang, Malaysia, because hardly anyone flies there, and I was able to takeoff and fly for a few minutes before the annoying window came up to inform me that my connection was no good (I love how it blames MY equipment instead of being honest and informing us that the servers are bottlenecking) and that I was going offline.

btw if the MSFS team reads this…please for the love of everything that is good…can we have a less intrusive way of informing us thatlive data streaming has ended? I mean you now get the stupid window and in the meanwhile the plane moves on uncontrolled. I’ve had a few crashes because of this. I’m all for informing us that something is wrong, but as it is now the ā€˜cure’ is worse than the affliction.

I usually fly in VR and it means I have to quickly look for the mouse, grab it and then click OK before I hit anything. Please just give us a red message that there’s no connection, switch offline and once it’s back on display the green message and that will do perfectly fine. Thanks!

Due to this message it is currently impossible to fly. Every time the message comes after 3-5 minutes. Please take care of it, because it looks pretty ugly without Bing data.

I’m also having the issue in area Heilbronn, Germany.

really really really annoying this message popping up every ten minutes, resetting BING to ON, change server, 10 minutes fun flying, and bang: bandwidth message. All the fun is gone right now.

Joerg said they are investigating, let’s hope it’ll be solved very very soon…

As it was stated during the session, they read this forum.

Well, maybe you read this then and thing about it for a moment

I have been flying since the very first MSFS version (yes, 1982) and stayed a customer since then. Had to hit the break for private reasons for a few years after several thousand hours of flying on- and offline (IVAO) and just now, a couple of weeks ago, finally decided to invest a reasonable amount of money to start flying again.

We are customers and we have made significant investments into our hobby. We heard a lot about bugfixes today and that a bug needs to be reproducable and all … I have been working in IT for the last 20 years, so I know how to treat and fix bugs and how to communicate with customers. This is NOT how you should do it.

  1. We have over 800 messages alone in this thread about the issue. Since yesterday, the MSFS became completely unflyable.
  2. We have a lot of good descriptions and the issue can be reproduced. You should have tthe log files
  3. The hint, that using a VPN solves this, points pretty cleary to an issue with your german servers. This should be solveable (and if the solution is to re-route traffic to other locations until fixed, this would be at least something.

Instead silence is golden and we got 2 very thin sentences today. I have issues understanding this from a customer perspective and as an IT professional.

In the current state the FS is unusable. Jƶrg, I really like, what you guys have build here, but please fix it and be more communicative about it.

Had some hope that the issue would be gone now, since the SU12 was released yesterday. But apparently that only made it worse than ever for me. Now it is so bad, that I get extremely long loading times into the sim and then when that load is finished I’m instally greeted by ā€œBandwidth too low messageā€.

Using Deutsche Telekom as my provider and my internet is working fine, apart from the connection to the MSFS.

Same here, West Germany. In addition the flight loading page needs much too long from 80% to flight.

Yes, also getting the ā€˜bandwidth too low’ message. Very frustrating.

At the moment the sim is unplayable.

Hopefully Asobo are investigating the cause and it will shortly be rectified

Same issues in The Netherlands for the last few days. Sim is not playable, no data is getting through.

Now I’m using a vpn to the USA and it works fine. Asobo/MS EU servers are down or something?
What’s going on?

Same here. Great performance until SU 12, flights with photometry on are now no longer possible due to low bandwidth messages while in fact fast internet connection is fine. Based in the Netherlands.

How can this be a fault of German and dutch Internet providers?

Lets Take the biggest two German Internet Providers Telekom and Vodafone… i can connect to every service Twitch, YouTube, Netflix whatever i want with High Speed and no problems whatsoever…

The Problem must be on MS and Asobo side…i am no super expert i guess the Asobo Servers dont Accept some IP adress ranges i dont know.

I think Asobo/MS don’t care about it, the problem was feelable since weeks, see this thread and nothing happens, why now? What I’m interested in are only PC user affected?
