This is sooooooo annoying.
Was 500ft AGL approach to sbrj(no room for error!) I got that message.
Because the mouse action was delayed because I was in VR, went into roll and I ended the flight, because was headed for a crash!
Please fix this, please!! Nothing should impede the pilot input on final. Unless it’s a CTD😡
My bandwidth is similar(fiber)
Please please fix:-/
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
Yes, I got a ‘Low Bandwith’-warning yesterday and was not able to get online since.
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
My internetspeed was more than 300 mBits/s download.
If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:
I had this message yesterday first time ever in MSFS and i had it many times yesterday.
My DSL100/40 was all time good, youtube or twitch streams on amazon fire tv are fine all time,
bandwith measurement with ookla was all time greater than 100/35. It’s a server problem or a bug
in AAU1
Its annoying that the sim changes the settings and i had to change them back
so many times. When bandwidth is to low ask to wait or something else, but don’t change settings
on your own.
Add: My hosts file is original windows clean, no entry. No 3rd party AV running.
It has to be a server problem and/or an AAU1 bug. I would assume that LESS people are using the servers now vs. during the busy holidays, especially with the bandwidth issue ruining the experience for most.
No issues whatsoever using the sim during the holidays. I have 800 Mbps internet. Can stream multiple 4K Dolby Atmos, no issues. Just the sim post AAU1.
I really hope this is resolved before the next Sim Update, which is a month away if the schedule holds.
This is really disturbing. I now don‘t get the message anymore. Anyhow after departing, I already can see the blurry scenery and especially when arriving at my destination the blurry world is so annoying.
And there are funny issues at the arrival airport. Just landed at LFPG. While taxiing, i fell all of a sudden like 10 or 20ft down because the ground texture reloaded. Objects like the taxiway lights were staying above me in the air. Blurryness remained.
Also at my departures I see trees where I don‘t expect trees on the green areas between runway and taxiways (notices at EDFH and EDSB).
Next, at the departure airport there sometimes appear green areas on the Apron / at the stands.
So buggy at the moment since AAU1 and issues consistent in every flight.
for me it helped changing to SOUTH EAST ASIA server. Normally I am on automatic server (and in 99,95% of the cases it chooses WESTERN EUROPE I guess).
I’ve just got the message in the middle of a take off… ![]()
of course, my bandwidth is high.
what happens when the message appears, do you get offline for the rest of the flight?
I don’t know what is going on today, but I am constantly getting this message as soon as the simulator spawns at any departure airport.
What is worse: when I try to switch online data and Bing maps on again from the options menu (which usually works, at least for a while), the simulator tends to crash.
Is anyone else havin the same problem?
It seems as if the servers have been tremendously slow and unresponsive. If you check this forum there have been many reports about low bandwidth issues in the last couple of weeks.
Yes. I have not had the “disconnected” message in a couple of days, but when I did last weekend, and if photogrammetry was on, trying to go to the options to force MSFS back to “online data” would 100% crash it back to desktop.
It didn’t crash if photogrammetry was off before getting disconnected from MS’ ■■■■■■ servers, but it took a lot of time to reconnect.
I’ve had the low bandwidth message more than ever and frequently for the past 2-3 weeks with a 100 mbps down / 10 mbps up connection. I hope this is being worked on as it had been working nicely in the past.
I’m having the same problem minus the crash. My internet speed test shows 300mbps FWIW. ATC was also very slow (or big gaps between responses) before it finally went silent. Seems maybe a server issue or something Microsoft side. This has been going on for me for a few days now, very annoying.
Wow, some recent reports on other threads are showing a notable increase of MORE CTDs in the last 2-3 days, and even worse experience since MS/Asobo claims to have fixed the live weather issue.
The sim played fine all through the holidays until the AAU1 update. ![]()
I suspect that the live weather issue was to do with caches. If they fixed it by reducing cache size, that might help explain the issues.
Or maybe the fact that it was Windows Update Tuesday this week?
I hope they fix the problem very soon because of that i had lost 4 Longhaul flights.
I know i can fly with internet off but it kills the realism of the sim and looks bad in certain areas.
(Big Citys usw) and make Flying less fun.
The problem occurs since after the small update that came 2 or 3 weeks ago.
I loaded the sim this morning (eastern North America time) and all was good. Now I’m loading the sim and it started by sitting at the checking for updates page for ten minutes, same thing it was doing last night…doesn’t bode well for my attempted flight.
Yup, once again I’m getting a low bandwidth error, losing my bing aerials and photogrammetry, and big gaps between ATC responses.
I have this at least once and usually multiple times in almost every single flight. My internet connection is always working at its exact rated upstream and downstream speeds when I check. (That’s 60Mbps down / 12Mbps up, not stunning but fast enough to suffice without warnings 95% of the time, strongly implying the actual issue is at Microsoft’s end and nothing to do with my internet connection.)
Simply removing the awful pop-up as Asobo had already said it plans to do would be sufficient to fix this for me, so long as the sim resumed streaming scenery data when this was possible again. I can’t believe how long it’s taking Asobo to push the tiny, tiny patch that would be required to disable the message though. This can’t be more than 15-20 minutes work for someone as literally all that has to be done is disable a single pop-up message.
Since this locks up our controls entirely for multiple seconds while we fumble to dismiss the message, it’s a major inconvenience and should be a top priority. Yet it has now languished unfixed for at least six months.
It doesn’t happen often to me, but I think it does stay offline until you set it back (willing to be proven wrong!). I do know when it has happened to me, I could usually manually turn online services on again in the settings and it would work ok.
