"Your computer does not meet the minimum requirements"

Thanks, that is the plan, to upgraade to a 4GB card one day. My upgraded hand built PC cost ne about £320 for the bits and was a huge step up from the old one which was very low spec.

Thanks ref 16GB being plenty, I had wondered about going to 32GB before going for a 4GB GPU but I will hold off on that till later.

Meanwhile, while I am still learning to get on and off the ground without making my imaginary passengers give up imaginary lunch into there paper bags; I will soldier on with what I have … which does work even thogh its not supposed to.

“16GB is enough”
I just ordered 32GB RAM, 2x16GB.

“Get yourself a 4GB dedicated GPU. They are ridiculously cheap now with the influx of RTX30 and AMD6000 series pushing prices down market.”
What would you recommend as “cheap” to replace my GeForce 940MX?

I’m not an Nvidia user, so I’ll defer to others who know the brand.

AMD, you can pick up great deals on both RX570 and RX580 in 4GB flavors.

My strong recommendation is to get an 8GB card even if it’s an older vintage (like I did with RX580). Running in my original config, Dev Mode showed me both Main Thread limited and GPU limited alternating. With an 8GB card my GPU limits are gone with generous GPU VRAM budget. Now I’m MT limited which means a CPU upgrade.

Try a reinstall of Windows 10 (or !!). That solved the problem for me.

I hope you not need 2 years to find that solution :joy:

No, just 1 year and 11 months!
