Sorry @Baracus250 I missed this month but there’s no change from before. I am struggling with the Mossie in VR for some reason but my Spitfire keeps me sane
May and June are the same as April;
Flying Irons Spitfire IX
Flight Replicas Spitfire Mk.Vb (blown canopy)
Aeroplane Heaven Hawker Hurricane.
Flight Replicas Spitfire Mk.IIA
DH98 Mosquito B Mk IV
Miltech Chinook.
Just flight Hawk T1
Azurpoly Sepecat Jaguar
IndiaFoxtEcho Panavia Tornado GR.4 W
CJ Simulations Typhoon
I do like the Flight Replicas Spitfire Mk.Vb (blown canopy) in 2024, even managed a flapless landing at Innsbruck, for some reason it wasn’t mapped on my quadrant but was mapped on the NXT
@AlmondBoat85386
Hmm…
I noticed a trend in your list.
Just a wild guess - are you possibly British?
No sign of the Avro Vulcan on your list, though, has me just a tad doubtful.
PMDG - 777F
PMDG - 737-700
PMDG - 737-800
PMDG - 737-900
PMDG - DC-6A AND B
Blacksquare - king air 350 analog insturments
Avro - rj100-300 steam guage analog
anything with a steam guage.
I heartily agree good sir, I’m waiting for the 2024 native MkIX, then I’ll be flying around like a hooligan in that as well. The 2020 port over is nice but I’m sure the native 2024 version will be absolutely banging.
1 Echo simulations Frati F8L. Not flown anything else for the last week or so. Visuals, sound and how it flies all seem top notch to me. Amazed it has kept such a low profile. Price is reasonable as well.
2 BS Bonanza pro
3 BS Baron pro
4 Carenado C172 (familiar yet quirky at the same time)
NextGen e110, the fs2024 update, the aircraft sounds are incredible and its career mode available
PMDG 737 700, I love the 700 series because of its capabilities
PMDG 737 800, i love flying both the 700 and 800 because I could find a flight on flightradar24 I can fly in my sim
Default Cessna 408, tried to fly everything in career mode medium freight, the 408 is the best aircraft
the GA8 Airvan, still a really fun GA to fly
Carenado c172 classic, great plane to fly circuits in, I knew how to start it up because I have had one lesson in an older Cessna 172 so I thought it was very good
Just flight Piper warrior II can’t start up the Dakota but can startup the warrior II after some IRL experience with this aircraft
Default bell 407, the 407 has improved significantly for me to be able to fly it
Fenix a321, a319, I love the a321 performance and capabilities
PMDG 777 300, my go to long haul because I don’t like the computerized a330
Forgot to add this to the 408, but the worst medium cargo for career mode was the Cessna 404 because it failed to climb with power and left me stuck at Cessna 172 speeds
Here’s my top ten for June. I’m in early this month but am not expecting any new aircraft purchases over the next two weeks.
Two changes to the line-up this month:
I finally thought I should see for myself what makes the Fenix A320 so special. I’d been enjoying the freeware FBW A320 and was tempted to put that into the Top Ten, but the Fenix really is a step up in every way. The still amazing FlyingIron BF109 had to make way.
The PMDG DC-6 rumbles onto the list, having been held in purgatory for a while until the WASM crashes were fixed. The Piston Duke was the unlucky loser here
So that’s it - there are no more 2020 native aircraft are on my list! Tempting purchases on the horizon are the native 2024 FlyingIron Spitfire and Heatblur F-4 Phantom, although there’s no telling when either of these will show up so I could be saying the same thing for months!
I’ll also be keeping a close watch for the A2A Lancair Legacy if it makes an appearance over the next few weeks, to see how reviewers rate it against its Flysimware competitor. And finally I’m intrigued by the Got Friends Taylorcraft, I love the demo videos showing the immersive physics effects; but of course this can all wait until Jonx is fully recovered.

Notes
1.
Just Flight Avro Vulcan
2024 hybrid
Still one of my favourite aircraft in the sim. Looks and sounds amazing; JF have really captured the essence of this unique aircraft
2.
Fenix A320
2024 native
This just oozes quality from every rivet. Top-tier. My only question: why did I wait so long?
3.
Black Square Starship
2024 hybrid
As good as it gets for a rewardingly complex GA experience. Until recently I’d preferred the Duke over this, but now I’m thoroughly enjoying the Starship as I fly it more.
4.
TFDI MD-11
2024 native
Airliners aren’t always my cup of tea, but this is just so well put together that it fully deserves a spot.
5.
Blackbird A65M Zero
2024 native
Such a fun “alive” aircraft to fly - top notch texturing, modelling and sound make this the best implemented native 2024 vintage aircraft for me.
6.
Azurpoly SEPECAT Jaguar
2024 native
A tasty slice of retro fast jet goodness, lots of vintage details and feels so “lived in”, flies very nicely and sounds incredible!
7.
PMDG DC-6
2024 native
This stone-cold classic is back! I can overlook the slightly dated model and texturing because this is such a rewarding plane to fly.
8.
SWS Kodiak 100
2024 native
I’ve been looking forward to getting back into the Kodiak for a while - and the upgrade did not disappoint!
9.
Taog OH6A/500C
2024 native
Absolutely lived up to the hype! This is the first heli where I’ve felt like I’m in control and not just a gently spinning passenger.
10.
Blackbird C130J ADV
2024 native
Now out of beta and benefiting from yet another huge changelog - this is coming together nicely, and is such a hyper-detailed flying experience. Still feels like I’ve got a lot to master on this complex beast, but I’m enjoying the journey!
* Footnote on 'Type' column
2020 native = an aircraft built for MSFS 2020
2024 hybrid = an aircraft built for MSFS 2024, but uses the “legacy” simobject structure as used in MSFS 2020. Could be a conversion or all-new aircraft.
2024 native = an aircraft built for MSFS 2024, using the new modular simobject structure
I believe at times they kept the speed down for certain portions of the flight to make certain turns in a more “compact” area, if you could call it that - but at least compared to normal.
There was a great talk on these missions from Colonel Per-Olof Eldh of the Swedish Air Force (unfortunately it is no longer online). He gave a lot of very precise details about the SR-71 flights and what the Soviets were trying to do about them (answer = not that much, unless the SR-71 got sick, which one did).
Interesting that the Swedes were quite able to shadow the SR-71 and probably could have taken one down if they needed to. The Viggen was a very capable plane of its time with good data-links between the plans and the ground, operated by skilled crews who were supported by well prepared colleagues on the ground.
One small change in the previous list i made last month.
PMDG 737-800
COWS DA40 NGX
COWS DA42
Gotfiends AS33 Me
PMDG DC6
PMDG 777-300
FlightFX Cessna Citation X
Miltech MH60, This one deserves a explanation. I already gave up helicopters in the sim. Untill this bad boy came by. Iam actually waiting for the toag’s dauphin release, but this is a great way spending some heli time untill than. Mainly in my hangar for low flyby’s at the beach (baywatch style), stormy sea/ocean missions (deadly catch tv show style) and an occasional pick up from the white house lawnyard or Hollywood style delta force action in some kind of dodgy neihbourhood under the cover of nightfall. Finally a helicopter that is easy to handle, has a great hover mode and even comes with some small scenery bonus.
Asobo Hot air balloon
Fenix A320
Honarable mentions (the to bad this is only a top 10 list):
F7 simulations ASK21, had to make way for the MH60, beacuse there was already an other glider in the list that is simply for complex than this one. Altough i still love to fly it.
FBW A320, my first “study level” plane in MSFS2020. its was free and spent a great joy flying this one, untill i got the fenix one. simply the best way to start serious flying in MSFS
FBW A380, To bad it became a framerate killer on my laptop. but another in depth project by a great team of volounteers
