Pilatus PC-12 NGX: Still a gold-standard for career flying and world exploration for me, kind of the ideal aircraft. Although, the supposedly too smooth and docile handling does make me wonder about SWS’s PC-12, but it’s money I don’t yet wanna spend to find out.
Pilatus PC-24: Back in my good graces, after I got frustrated with its seemingly too high stall speed for the “ultra-versatile jet”. I learned to accept it for now and I just like it in every other respect. Can do anything the the PC-12 can but 100 knots faster. I really like PIlatus craft in general and I hope they get more love and attention to detail in the sim.
Piaggio P180 Avanti (FlightFX): It remains my favourite payware plane and also my favourite twin turboprop business plane. I’ve praised it here before for the many great things about it. I’m also excited about the next variant of the real thing being a dedicatet STOL utility plane. It already is STOL in my book, but I haven’t dared the short unpaved strips that I would with the PC-12 yet.
Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX: Always liked this classic craft, but with the new bush trips activity I learned to appreciate it again in the Austrian mountains. Even more versatile than a Pilatus, it flies like a dream at low speeds and in difficult terrain.
CubCrafters Monster NXCub (Got Friends): I’ve been bush flying more in world photography mode to look for elusive wild animals on Xbox low settings. Love what they did with the Cub and I do prefer nose gear to tail draggers. Also I just found out about the nitro and I definitely need to test that next time.
Saab 340B: My favourite regional airliner. Low-wing turboprop with nice handling and speed, probably my favourite twin-turboprop after the Avanti.
Bigger airliners won’t make it onto the list becaues I resolved to properly learn Airbus systems before flying them again.
Falco F8L (Echo Simulations): Favourite new piston-engine GA airplane. Behaves nicely and is fun to fly.
Cessna 400 Corvalis TT: Second-favourite GA single-piston engine. A great allrounder.
Savoia-Marchetti S.55: As historic seaplanes go, this one was even more exciting an experience than the also excellent Latecoere 631, so it gets the spot here.
Cirrus Vision Jet G2: Another career mission favourite for its versatility. Also still impressed by making the single jet turbine concept work.

My Summary
A pretty stable month in the annual charts, with the Rockwell Commander 114 making its first proper appearance since a late entry in July’s chart and already in 15th spot overall. In the monthly chart the Piaggio Avanti suddenly appeared quite strongly (I love that plane!) but due to only 24 participants this month, the numbers are a bit skewed there I think.
Can’t wait to see how the Got Friends Taylorcraft performs (in flight AND here in the charts!)
EDIT: as pointed out and my blind eyes didn’t see, it’s awesome that the Grumman Albatross has hit the top 3 overall!!
