Your Current TOP 10 Aircraft

Do you have the Fulcrum? Was looking at it, looks as good as the RedBird and Yoko but much cheaper. It’s fairly new and haven’t seen much feedback on it yet. Also needs to be pre-ordered because backlog in production. A lot of different opinions on FFB, I like the realistic elevator trim it can provide but I guess it’s hard to simulate the other feedback and control pressures accurately, so much so that some people say it’s no more realistic than yokes with a spring.

Nearly double price after tax — would be £480 + delivery + import duty. Mine was £260 delivered.

I looked at it but a few factors drove me away:

  • the box is too big and square (my monitor would have to sit far away the way the legs curve but they fit real nice around the curved rear part of the Logi and XPC) - - … and kinda fugly (I’m vein!)
  • no screw holes to attach the panels on top
  • not even available yet
  • XPC is also Hal sensors, full metal double bearings shaft, 400% more resolution than the original Alpha

So is the XPC 180 degree. Not sure about travel but seems enough llol

Neat, but don’t need it! What would you put on instead? Are they available even? Not gonna be driving F1 cars with it!

Nor are any until you get to like £1,600?

Already mapped the magnetos to fuel tank selector and put new labels over theirs - works great

I’ll find something for the others. Tried Spad to rewire the Logi but it’s way too complex for me so decided to stick with defaults on the Logi and reuse the Alpha ones that I can assign directly in MSFS… much easier!

Yokes are yokes. Money is money. Sometimes money buys a better yoke. But my goodness, a yoke is better than none at all. I have an entry level flight stick and it is perfect for me. But I spent a LOT on a yoke and quadrant and it is perfect for me.

I am beginning to realize, good gear is good… but NOBODY tests all of it, so we like what we have as long as it WORKS.

Now, two questions. Why are you up? And what plane do I need tonight?

Fouga

F-117

Big Radials Tomahawk

Widgeon

Carenado C338H Skymaster

 hah, well my parents are staying with me over Xmas (leaving tomorrow)… they both got some cough since a couple of days ago. Dad got up to go to the bathroom I guess and I heard some noise, so I woke up, and here I am. Gonna go back to sleep though!

I dare not recommend anything after the PC-21

I say pick one you have already or a freeware (choice below) and exercise some monk-style patience for the Willy!!

New freeware I installed but didn’t try yet. You can tell us what they are like!

  1. FK9
  1. Brown B2 Racer
  1. K7 glider

…but if I had to pick from your list, the Magister

(I don’t have the Tomahawk or Skymaster)

Right, back to kip for me (try…)

First day buy the moment it hits the Marketplace.

I cross play on Xbox so 90%+ of my purchases are from the Marketplace. It needs to be epic and NEVER coming to Marketplace to buy elsewhere.

I was considering getting the Bell 206 (Fly Inside one) tomorrow. But I’m probably not. Will fill my day with yokes!

I will heed your advice. The PC-21 is a blast! I just have to compare it to my favorites. And really, it is like a low impact warbird. But we have the Flying Iron planes to do the same, and spit, and stammer.

Enjoy that yoke!

I don’t own it yet, I am trying to talk myself into it. It’s on sale in the MarketPlace. I just have so many good bush planes.

It is stunning. If you don’t need modern avionics.

It never ends, just call me crazy, can’t even fly the WB-Sim 172 without one of these https://www.simmax.it/prodotto/single-throttle-engine-pp-new-version/

Fair enough.

When I purchased mine it was $AUS550 for the Honeycomb versus just under $AU800 delivered for the Fulcrum.

Cleary something has pushed up Fulcrum prices, they are British made so possibly Brexit.

Although I like to read about your hardware experiences, just a small reminder to stay on topic.
By the way, I have my top 10 list already waiting for the 1st of January, and cant wait to see what the results will be by the end of that month.
