1. Hype H145 : Awesome helicopter that keeps getting better due to developer updates. My landing skills have improved, I can even air-taxi now.

2. Iris PC-21 : Are you in VR and do you have [ motion platform or bass-shakers ]? Then this is the plane you should get. An awesome canyon bomber that flies like a jet and ( almost ) lands like a Cessna. Not study level, but still a very convincing digital twin. If you like this plane, you will also like the next one.

3. IndiaFoxTecho M346 : Are you in VR and do you have [ motion platform or bass-shakers ]? Then this is the plane you should get. An awesome canyon bomber that actually is a jet and lands like one ( not like a Cessna !!! ). Not study level, but still a very convincing digital twin. If you like this plane you will also like the previous one.

4. Aerosoft DHC-6 Twin Otter : I loved this plane from the first moment I got in the cockpit. Late 60’s turboprop glory from the golden era of post-war aviation. With a GPS, so sim-warriors like myself can get to their destination too.

5. Carenado Beechcraft Bonanza V35 : My go-to small GA plane at the moment. Easy to fly, fast. Post-war beauty.

6. DC Designs Stearman : a gentleman’s air companion. Treat with respect and it will VFR you anywhere.

7. //42 Freedom Fox : such a nice STOL all-rounder.

8. SimWorks Studios Zenith 701 : Such a nice STOL specialist

9. Black Square Analog Caravan : Basically the perfect plane. Easy, efficient, powerful. Flies turboprop missions with small plane behavior. Study level.

10. SimWorks Studios Kodiak 100 : Big boy plane, almost study level. Flew so many missions in PNG in this one. Never loved the approach characteristics though, maybe I should try it again after all the updates.

There is one plane I noticed but can’t remember which now, that the fuel level needle changes based on your nose pitch. I looked with alarm once before I noticed this, thinking WHAAAAT it can’t be that low already, but I was in a climb (or decent, can’t remember) so when I levelled out the needle came back up. So it’s measuring the fuel tipping away from the sensor in the tanks nice touch. Could have been the Beaver actually.

Quoting myself - just to confirm I found it WAS in fact the Beaver that does this (the indicated fuel levels change dynamically based on plane attitude). ALSO the WB C172 does it too (during left to right banking).

Very much so. There is a new stable release imminent, as I read on their Discord just yesterday.

P.S I hope “stable” means stable for me too, as it definitely isn’t at the moment.

Did that. No different. Worse in fact. It’s just totally random it must be external issues (server) IMO. I bet a faster PC can “mask” the issues better than mine though, so there’s that.

It’s 100% a server issue. So many people are reporting this problem right now, it’s almost flooding the forums. No pc in the world will help with that. Unfortunately the only thing we can do is to wait.

Mine is top end about 2 years ago and it’s hurting, so it’s likely something weather related, I think. Could try turning off all the live business as well.

Haven’t tried Vatsim yet, are controllers available even for general aviation flights from small airports (like with PilotEdge) or is Vatsim mostly for commercial flights from major airports?

I have 7,000+ hours on VATSIM. Virtually all I do is fly light general aviation aircraft and most of my flying is done into and out of small airports. The meta on VATSIM is commercial flights and major airports but controllers appreciate a shake in the meta. This is true for flight rules also. Most are flying under IFR, it’s really fun to call up a controller with a VFR request.

Wow, pretty amazing that Just Flight products have fallen off the list. I’m not sure what that says? Maybe they’ll pop back on when they finally release the new flight models?

To that end, I wonder what Just Flight is thinking right now on how to climb back up…? Not necessarily with their old products, but with new content I imagine. The Piper Tomahawk’s probably not going to do it.

It’s an interesting question for all developers on how to choose an aircraft that’s unique yet approachable.

If the Warrior still had the excellent flight model it had on release it would easily be in my top 10. But as it is, I have other more accurate planes to fly while I wait for an update.

Fallen off what list? January 25?

I got contacted by Martyn again today with links to test the new FM’s but AGAIN, the links are all “invalid” for me.

They are distracted with their Traffic for a few months I think and it’s a shame they could not speed up their process to get on those update. It’s going to be months before the same tweaks are on the in game marketplace and by then, another Sim Update might break things again!

They will be back though. The Vulcan is soon, and the RJ or whatever it’s called (new FMS of the 146 will be popular I think). I don’t think they can fight A2A Comanche though?

Funny how all those plane names are “battle” related, right? Very aggressive tone! Archer, Warrior, Arrow, Comanche. Why can’t they be called Mary and Daisy or something?
