So there is only 9 total now, correct? (I know I said please add 9 more, I meant on TOP of the Messer. But up to you!)

yes 800. Thanks

Hey thanks for the update. Some clarification on these please if you can…

The WB Sim Payware one?

Which one? Archer II?

Is that the Transall by AzurPoly?

I skipped May’s entry because I took an extended break from flying – late April through mid June is our busiest time of the year for bird activity, so I spent most of my free time in the woods and on the trails with my camera. I’m back in the cockpit now.

In order:

DH-82 Tiger Moth/Ant’s Airplanes
PT-17 Stearman/DC Designs – 1 and 1A right now. I had no idea I’d have this much fun in biplanes. These two really shine in MSFS and are both very reasonably priced for the quality flying they provide. ***Documentation for both of these is outstanding. Both come with nice manuals and checklists. I hate it when planes come without in-flight checklists (ahem…Carenado and Black Box).
Sting S4/ FSReborn – Lots of TLC went into this plane. Superb quality and a joy to fly even if it’s on the slow side for a modern aircraft.
Kodiak 100/SWS – Easier to hand fly than I thought. Member AlpineBravo’s tutorials are an excellent reference for getting going in this plane. Still feels a little too much like operating a system instead of flying a plane, and my old eyes struggle with the glass displays, but it’s great for mountain sightseeing just about everywhere. Probably the highest quality module I own, but the Sting is right there with this one.
Piper Archer II/Carenado – My sanity check for going back to basics when needed.
Mooney M20R/Carenado – My other sanity check. If I didn’t lose frame rates in a lot of places I fly this, I’d have this a few spots higher. Unfortunately, like me the airplane doesn’t seem to like populated areas. Still it has my favorite cockpit for its blend of new and old, and I love the speed.
BN-2 Islander/Black Box – Cool airplane, great sounds. Fun to fly for short island hops in Scotland and the Caribbean. I do get a little lazy and put on the autopilot during the longer stretches over water.
Pilatus PC-6 Porter/MilViz
Cessna L-19 Bird Dog/Black Box
Cessna 152/Asobo/WBSim/JPLogistics

Patiently waiting for the SF-260 to arrive on the scene. My most flown aircraft in XP11. Really looking forward to flying it in MSFS.

Sorry but needed to update my June list. Hope it is not too late or too much hassle. In alphabetical order:

  1. ATR 600 Series [Microsoft / S&H Software]
Still great and looking fwd to the forthcoming update that we were recently teased with
  2. BAe 146 [Just Flight]
Probably the best all round experience in the sim
  3. C-160 Transall [AzurPoly]
Big, bulky and beautiful atmospheric cockpit design
  4. de Havilland Tiger Moth [Ant’s Airplanes]
    Low and slow, unbeatable
  5. Embraer EMB121A1-Xingu II [BRsim Designs]
Great new addition and very responsive developer
  6. FG-1D Corsair [Blackbird Simulations / MilViz]
One of my top 3 warbirds and since the latest update this month, is a real pleasure to fly. I love the shape too and always have since I was a kid.
  7. Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 [Flying Iron Simulations]
New entry and I will be surprised if this one doesn’t have lots of votes either this month or next
  8. Pacific Aerospace P-750 XSTOL [Orbx]
Great for fun crop-dusting, still waiting for the promised update though…
  9. Piper PA-28-161 Warrior II [Just Flight]
Fly irl and recently updated, very realistic imho
  10. Supermarine Spitfire L.F Mk IXc [Flying Iron Simulations]
It is the Spitfire, say no more

Cheers, P.

I’m impressed with how diverse this lineup is. :+1:

The spice of life. But full qualification for diversity only comes when something like the Pou-Du-Ciel shows up!

I missed May but here is June. Some newcomers, many the same but I do enjoy them all for different flying.

C414 Chancellor - Been my #1 for a while and not changing yet.

Twin Beech Model 18 - Took this bird out again after sitting in my hangar for months, forgot how much I enjoy her.

Carenado Mooney - First time in my top 10, love the look/feel of the cockpit, sounds are great and she has a speedbrake so I can come in a little hot.

BR Goose - My go to water plane… still. Sounds are top notch, windows open, whats not to love.

Islander - Still a fav of mine when she comes out to play around the Carribean.

PMDG DC-6 - Fun plane to learn, lots to do in the cockpit if you choose.

DC3 - Still a great bird to fly pretty much anywhere.

Antonov AN-2 - Great look and feel in the cockpit and the flight model after updates are great imo.

Wilga - Low and slow, landing in the bush and ā€œcampingā€ Good times…

DHC-4 Caribou - Been flying this around Canada, love opening the ramps. She made the list.

Longitude - For those times I need to go high and fast.

  1. Turbo Porter PC-6. Blackbird
  2. B350 steam gauge overhaul. blacksquare
  3. P28 arrow III. Just flight
  4. C310. Blackbird.
  5. C208 steam gauge overhaul. blacksquare
  6. DC-6. PMDG
  7. Tecnam P2006t. FSS
  8. C160 transall. azurpoly
  9. ATR42 (Hans Hartman).

New
10. BR121 xingu. Brsimdesign. Lovely plane that does a lot of things right. Got a lot of updates from a really responsive developer. For the price you get a lot of plane.

Out of my top 10
L1049 Super Constellation. Redwing. Really like this plane, but only room for 10. Dont fly the big and heavy planes that much so i had to pick one of them. Still a really feature rich plane that offers a lot of features. Maybe it will be back in my list after the upcoming update. But with a lot of medium/smaller props soon on the market, i am afraid i have to drop some more in the next months.

Quite a few sales kicking off while FS Expo is on I think. Orbx doing one including lots of items but this jumped out as it’s a pretty new release.

The Blackwing BW635RG

I know, I saw that one too. Do I need it, do I really need it?

No, no you don’t

Kodiak half price, still tops the list that matters right? I guess I need to buy this one. Are the avionics all updated with WT goodness or has it missed out?

It’s not quite top, but it’s close. No idea about avionics as I haven’t flown it for a good long while.
