Oh my goodness, but it’s been a hot minute.
Potato machine killed itself, then a protracted affair with a repair Center means I’m only just BACK in flight sim mode.
Been effectively out of action since January :scream:!
How I’ve missed things.

My old and new list are the same, considering I’m only just back with a fixed and improved sim rig.

New:

  • COWS DA42 VI
  • Flysimware Cessna 414AW PMS GTN750+WT
  • WB-Sim Cessna 172X
  • A2A Piper Comanche 250 PMS
  • Fenix A320 CFM WTF
  • PMDG 737-800

Now, what’s new in flight sim?

Welcome back! What new hardware ya got then?

Are you using FS24?

What’s new? Quite a bit since then I guess! You’d like the Cows DA40-XLS and Avanti II. Probably.

No changes for me this month.
Still waiting for the Latécoère 28.

My top 10 for this summer:

  1. P180 II
  2. COWS DA42
  3. C414
  4. The Dukes
  5. BF109
  6. FSR500
  7. Klemm KL25 (classics hangar)
  8. Learjet 35 (FSW)
  9. IFE Tornado
  10. SWS PC12

As it’s still a bit rough in FS24 I’m happy to have a good time in 2020 sometimes.

As always: thanks for this List BA!

First vote of 2025 huh??

You know we count these separately (Piston + Grand as one, Turbine as another) so which do you prefer to count your vote towards? Thanks!

Thanks man!!

When I had to choose Iā€˜d take the piston !

Yeah, the piston Duke is the real deal. The turboprop conversion is a bit of a circus plane IMO. I know they exist but I prefer to fly aircraft that are actually flown IRL. Even the regular piston Duke is pretty rare nowadays.

  1. freeware Fokker f27, this aircraft has been way too much fun to fly

  2. default Saab 340B been flying this because fs studios don’t have an autopilot update yet for fs2024 in the e jets

  3. Cessna 408, it’s very fun to fly with and very enjoyable to fly

  4. NextGen Embraer 110 I’m happy to have this back in fs2024 because it flys really well

  5. pilots dash 7, it got more fun in fs2024 and feels more powerful

  6. fs studios 727 passenger, I am not into flying freighters so I’ve been enjoying learning the passenger version

  7. Fenix airbus’s I love the a319 and a321 a lot

  8. default Grumman albatross, I think this is one of the better default aircraft in the game and fun to fly

  9. default Beechcraft g36 it’s my new favorite single engine GA aircraft

  10. default hot air balloon (the no propeller one)
It’s fun to float over places in it

As a fan of regional aircraft I wish I could enjoy the ATR but it’s not the same as a dash 8 unfortunately, and it’s a real bummer that the fs2024 fs studios E jets have no autopilot and I can’t find a way yet for my marketplace Aerosoft CRJ to register on the Aerosoft app yet along with my two technam aircraft from fs studios

Just fixes. Thought I had a broken CPU, turns out all I needed was a replacement AIO (a protracted issue with my repair center that we won’t get into), with more RAM and an improved m.2.
Glad to be back in the cockpit, been out of it while wondering if a new rig was on the cards.

I’ll look into your recommendations :+1:t2:

Anyone want to make any wagers on how high the Black Square Starship is on the list this month?

It is released half way this month, so I guess we will see the number 1 spot in July

Maybe! Will be interesting to see if it knocks the Comanche off for the first time since that was released.

As for this month, seeing as less than 2 weeks available for votes, I’d still guess it will come in 2nd place for the month and maybe the top 15 of the annual chart.

Do yourself a favor and get the freeware G36 Improvement Project. Much better than the Asobo version. It’s a separate aircraft designed for FS2020, but I’ve found it works very well in FS2024.

Or better yet get the Black Square Analog Bonanza. Might be worth waiting for the upcoming FS24 Professional version, if that’s still on the roadmap.

I’ll have to check that out then and that’s good that it works in fs2024 because I’m trying to stick with fs2024

I have the Black Square Analog Bonanza as well. I haven’t flown it yet, because I’m one of the dumb people who prefer a glass cockpit. Some day I might prefer analog…

I like the combo of analog gauges and the TDS GTNXi or PMS50 GTN750.

While I also like all-glass cockpits like the G3000 (TBM850, VisionJet, etc), the G1000 is painful for me due to not having touchscreens.
