Your Current TOP 10 Aircraft

There are under desk mounting frames

Which if you have a mate with a bit of metal knowledge could fix up for you

Yeah thanks, this is a solution I’m considering! Will need to take some time to rearrange my limited space to accommodate it.

Ahh yes, I can see that the way I wrote it is likely to lead to confusion. What I actually meant is that in the 4 years of using MSFS 2020 and almost a year of 2024 I never bought any addon aircraft before the past couple of months.

I have this under-desk mount for my Alpha and Bravo.

It’s nice because there’s nothing at all on top of the desk, and is a quick-release mount.

It does require drilling some holes on the bottom, so you need a fairly thick desk to make it work.
It’s not as rock solid as the clamping-type, but I’ve never had an issue in the years I’ve owned them.

Getting my Top 10 in early this month

  1. RJ Professional - Got this on sale - Boy is it a complex aircraft but I love it and I’ll learn it’s complex systems one day!
  2. A2A Comanche 250 - Still love this aircraft and always will.
  3. A2A Aerostar 600 - Not as good as the Comanche 250 IMO but hopefully that will change with future updates.
  4. Taog’s Hangar - OH6A Cayuse/Hughes 500C - Amazing now with the latest update!
  5. Carenado - Cessna CT210N - My go to for “fast” sightseeing
  6. Carenado - Cessna 172 - My go to for “slow” sightseeing
  7. Just Flight - Piper Turbo Arrow
  8. PMDG - DC6 - Still my go to aircraft when I feel homesick, the Co-Pilots Afrikaans accent is just so cool!
  9. Blackbird Cessna 310
  10. JPLogistics Cessna 152 - This has gone back into my Top 10 only because I did another real world lesson in a Cessna 150 the other week.

Thanks for all the hard work you do on this thread. I often find myself going back to your PDF list when looking for my next purchase! And then end up spending money :joy:

This month’s top 10 from me:

  1. Miltech CH47-D Chinook. I have been flying it more and like Snickers or Canadian bands, it never fails to satisfy.
  2. Just Flight Vulcan
  3. Tukan Ford Trimotor
  4. Iris Pilatus PC21 - a new entry for my newest aircraft, which is an absolute delight to fly.
  5. DC Designs Stearman
  6. Just Flight PA-38 Tomahawk
  7. DC Designs Concorde
  8. Just Flight Hawk T1
  9. Asobo default Beechcraft Bonanza
  10. Asobo default Airbus A310

Just missing out but getting an honourable mention is the Lionheart Pacer/Tri Pacer. The visuals on this plane are lovely and there is a huge variety in not just the exterior liveries but the interior schemes as well. And it’s fun to fly. Sadly, what’s stopping it making my top 10 are some small attention to detail issues - one of the light switches doesn’t work correctly, there’s an ADF switch but no ADF indicator, if you have the instruments visible for external view the airspeed indicator is not calibrated to the right range, and when it loads in to FS2020 the captions that come up under the loading screens as it loads in are complete random word salad. I’m sure most of these things would be very easy to fix, it’s a shame in an otherwise well made, good value aircraft.

My list has changed since October, and I’m getting to the point where it’s hard for me to narrow my favorites down to ten! In no particular order:

  1. Big Radials Norseman
  2. GotFriends Aeroprakt Vixxen
  3. Flying Fries Quasar
  4. GotFriends Wildcat
  5. Blackbird Sim Mitsubishi Zero
  6. Default Twin Otter
  7. Big Radials Grumman JRF Goose
  8. Carenado B55 Baron
  9. Local Legend Twin Beech
  10. Flying Iron P38

I have about ten other honorable mentions but I’ll keep those to myself haha! I mostly do bush flying and retro planes, but Flying Fries Quasar has been a personal favorite lately.
