Originally because I wanted controls to still work when I was out of the “focus” of the main window with multiple monitors. Then it was a godsend for programming the Xtouch. Now I’m also using it for stuff like a dedicated button that triggers a cabin announcement I made with AI and TTS…
- GlassOut by FlyingArt
For a touchscreen GTN750 on my Android tablet over WiFi, as well as the displaying of FMCs without having to tilt the view down in the cockpit for e.g. the BAe146 or CitationX.
- StreamDeck Mobile
Cheap subscription option that lets me put the softkeys of the G1000 units on my old mobile phone’s screen, with the appropriate backlight labels via free profile from fs.to. Has made using the G1000 a joy rather than a chore in the Albatross, Kodiak etc. In the CitationX it is used for the PFD/MFD/EICAS softkeys.
- PMS GTN750
One of the first addons I got and has been worth every penny over the last five or so years.
- Little Navmap
Used for everything from bush flights (for example after importing the Return to Misty Moorings cabin userpoints) to jet routes (with handy TOD marker and visual display of BATC traffic). Still my favoured flight planning tool.
- Beyond ATC
Getting better all the time, and now also being used to inject traffic during my VFR flights (where previously I relied on FSLTL for that and kept BATC strictly for airliner IFR). Excellent local voices mean this is now completely free to use after the initial purchase.
- JetCard
A recent addition but very enjoyable, giving a new sense of purpose to flying the bigger aircraft I like. Yet to experience running my own company in it though - might end up being too stressful…
- GF Man’s Best Friend
Was so happy when this finally returned to MSFS2024, and a staple for when I use my casual trip planes (at present the Albatross, Vixxen and Commander). The only minus point is the very limited overlap of dog breeds with the //42 CampOut utility, so if you want to take your pup from the plane to the tent you can only choose from a few.
- Navigraph/Simbrief
Can’t really separate these two - are we for this list? The only thing I miss in Navigraph Charts is injected traffic showing up like it does in LNM and even in JetCard.
- Addon Linker
Could probably survive without this one, so if the two above need to be split across ranks 9 and 10, it can be omitted from the Top Ten. Very handy though!

Can’t believe I forgot GSX!!! Must be because of all the recent GA and bizjet flying I’ve been doing, but even when using the BAe146 in JetCard, I have relied on GSX for fuel and catering trucks as well as pushback.
So, Addon Linker is definitely below the Top Ten cutoff now, and JetCard can move to tenth spot and be dropped completely if Simbrief and Navigraph need to be distinct entries (as JC is still somewhat unproven for longevity annd may go the way of good old Neofly for me). GSX will take up seventh place. Sorry for any confusion or extra work that created, Baracus!
Couldn’t do without FSUIPC. It’s available as payware with all features and as freeware with a reduced feature set. There’s also a trial license available.
I love it because of the scripting possibility in Lua.

Do you know if GSX Pro is available to purchase anywhere other than their FSDT website and Sim Market?
FS Addon Compare only lists those two, and I reckon that’s right.
VFrmap at Flightsim.to says it doesn’t work with’24 but it does and I use it regularly. It’s ideal for moving around the globe in free flight.

- MSFS Addons Linker
- While I could do what this does on my own, it’s just so handy. I’ve been using it since it came out and consider it a must-have on PC if you have a lot of addons.
- Flow Pro
- I survived the “dark ages” before this available for FS2024, but using it over the default UI is very refreshing.
- ChasePlane
- The first one in the list I would say is a true must. Flying without it just feels wooden and bland.
- Rex Atmos Core
- I value this one far more than I expected to. Using all 3 of AirborneGeek’s profiles creates a dramatic difference.
- SkyTrails and Typical Weather tied for 5th.
- I use SkyTrails on every flight and love to see all of the contrails, whereas I generally only turn Typical Weather on when live weather is atrocious somewhere I really want to fly.

I’m not setting limits here though so gonna add whatever is sent and fits the idea, including @Gulf76GT70 “worthy” ones. Not the city packs though 
Counting is overrated! But really I just felt like SkyTrails, while cool, didn’t feel right as its own entry because what it does is so small (but meaningful!)
All new votes and new products added. Didn’t add the bridge and city packs as they are too localised for what belongs here. Might have to buy RealTurb myself!
Just for those who don’t know: the Man’s Best Friend addon is actually by Got Friends rather than //42 (though the latter’s Campout also has dogs in it).
