I’m confused I guess. I don’t know what a third party hosting site is. I’m just a simple man, that creates flight simulation YouTube content. If I see a third party add on that is worth we talking about, I will do a video on it. To be honest, I do not care were the third party add on link comes from. Because most of the time I see the addons come from X-Plane.org or or forums in their download sections for X-Plane platform.
And for Microsoft flight simulator platform so far, I see links here in this forum that direct me to https://www.msfsaddons.org , https://github.com/ and https://users.nexusmods.com mostly. So I’m guessing the above mentioned file hosting sites would be considered third party, because there the middleman. Unless I missing something, it’s the reason why I’m confused.
Now to be clear, if the addon developer reaches out to me and says please don’t use this link and instead use this link, I would be more than happy to comply. My goal as a YouTube content creator, is to get eyeballs on the content that I create. And simply reviewing or promoting their addons is a win win, for every one. At the end of the day, exposure to the developers creations from large channels and small channels channels like mine is what I would think it’s all about. Besides my channel is too insignificant for any one to care. Now for the self promotion plug, So if you do like my content throw a subscribe and like on my channel www.youtube.com/user/dionm01 , and thanks for the support. Shameless I know, but maybe one day I can start making money with this ■■■■ thing. Cheers Dion
