Zephyrus G15 (2021), Ryzen 9 5900HS, RTX 3060 6gb, 16gb ram still low FPS?!

Like in the tittle, why only get 20-30fps in high setting, and 16fps in ultra, 20-40 in low setting?!

Who is in fault? My laptop or the game?
I read forum and many people also have this problem, is microsoft know this problem & working on this?

Screen resolution?
If it’s 4k it’s more less what I would expect. Should improve after all the performance updates this summer.

@lkowgli 1080p and 2k got same fps. The max resolution is 2k tho.

Can u show me the link of the info that u said performance update incoming?

Hmm. Well… it’s a laptop. Also except the CPU the specs are nothing special. The 3060 is a low end card (except the price currently). 16GB RAM is like the minimum in 2021 for an office PC.

But my specs is close to the ideal spec for running this sim.

Not really. The laptop version of the 3060 is roughly 50% slower than a 2080 + you have 2x less RAM. Also we know these specs are more like wishful thinking.

Well what’s your spec & fps then?

5900X, 64GB RAM, 2080Ti
I get around 30-50fps on high/ultra settings in 4k
And around 30 fps on the Reverb G2 in VR on high

Both with 100% render scaling.

Ok. But what happen with other post in this forum regarding this topic as well?

They said limited by cpu

Enable developer mode and the performance overlay and see for yourself. But the CPU you have is actually top notch, so I wouldn’t expect it to be the problem. Also confirmed by the difference you see between ultra and low.

I don’t know anymore, but many people like this in this forum:

See in the dev tools.

Idk what u mean by dev tools, what it looks like? Haha sorry

Btw u can explain what happen to them in this pic? Same fps with me 14 in ultra.

I’m expecting to get 60fps ish in low end, but never, only got 20-40ish.

The specs are for desktop PC’s. Could be your laptop is power and temperature limited. Can’t hold 100% CPU and 100% GPU for longer than a few seconds. Check the Windows power manager to confirm.
Also try setting the power mode in windows to “high performance”. That will help (not only in MSFS).

U mean my spec is same with this pc’s minimum spec? My gpu not max Q tho.

I can run call of duty warzon in my max resolution 2k at 120ish fps but why this sim can’t? Well i belive i can expect at least get 60fps at high setting (with detail setting at lowest: 10)

I also did sett my sim as high performance in windows setting

Enable developer mode in the settings and then open the fps counter from the menu that will appear on top.

Also I meant these power settings.

If you wait a month or so for the next sim update which should include the optimizations they have done for XBox it should get much better.

Ok will do tomorrow, already at night.

I’m using “performance mode” in rog armory crate. So my windows power settings automatically run at the performance mode, not balance setting.

There are silent mode, performance mode, turbo mode
