Zoos: Are there animals at zoos?

I was curious if zoos in the game, or maybe at least the bigger/more popular zoos, have wildlife roaming about? Elephants, giraffes, hippos, gorillas, flamingos, penguins, tigers, lions, dolphins, etc. And do the ecological zone layouts, buildings, and overall property design of the zoos somewhat retain the look and feel of their real world counterparts?

I don’t believe they do. Somebody correct me if im wrong. Also, scenery accuracy depends on the bing map quality around the area and wether or not Photogrammetry is available. The AI will construct buildings based on the data available. Sometimes its very accurate, other times it was a great attempt!

You can use #self-service:wishlist if you wish to submit a suggestion or feature request. That way, others can vote on it as well. I think it’d be neat!!

Right on, thanks wuper0737! I’ll wait for more responses from others before making an official suggestion on the wishlist… as I want to make sure I better understand the in-game experience first. I don’t yet own the game so can’t test it out myself  sigh

Am hoping more players can tell us about their experiences.

I can do some testing tomorrow if I have time! I would now, but its 12:30am and im in bed haha. Otherwise i’d take a flight and look around some zoos for you. Like you mentioned, maybe some others have some input in the time being

Hahaha, awesome, wuper0737. Yes, get some good rest now so you can safely pilot flight simulator aircraft tomorrow  Don’t want you falling asleep at the yoke! :stuck_out_tongue:

I flew over The National Zoo in DC last night and noticed no animals. I also noticed A LOT of trees, which it has, but they go overboard with them in the sim so it was hard to tell if any animals were actually there.

There aren’t even zoos at zoos. Why would there be animals?

I’d rather wonder if they plan to add more species around the world.

That’s true. A lot of zoos would have considerable tree canopy cover, so it may be a non-worthwhile endeavor.

I don’t own the game, so the question made sense to me.

Sounds good, including more incidental occurrences, I’m assuming. Like crows, pigeons, starlings, and finches just milling about on the ground, on trees, and in air… or solitary birds randomly flying about. Geese, ducks, and swans hanging out by and on ponds and lakes… with coloring depending upon region of world you’re in. Occasional bears and cougars by streams. Etc. And probably a wider variety of times in which you see them.

Maybe non-worthwhile for urban zoos. I also flew over Central Park Zoo last night but of course trees. Maybe zoos that are out in the open, rural areas we might have a better view but I’m not expecting them to have animals regardless.

animals on the wild not on a ■■■■■■■ zoo , even on a sim

Imagine flying over crocodiles in Everglades or see jumping whales at sea.

The language isn’t appreciated.

MSFS is a reality simulator, and since zoos exist in the real world at present, I thought it might look odd to see zoos with zero animals in them.

Similarly, parks and carnivals without people doing park/carnival things would seem a little desolate and weird.

I felt it was worth at least asking about what the current game’s experience is.
