Low end system here, no problems today except I don’t appreciate that warning about running out of resources, especially when it appears as you are landing! There has to be a smarter way of letting the user know about this - not just splatting a message on the screen at a crucial moment (all landings are crucial for me!). But all good (apart from that message) with this release.
I’ve been flying all day today on 1.5.26 and have to say, performance is back! Smooth as butter. Consistently at 55+ to 60+ fps on 4k ultra via my 4090/i9-13900k. No stutters which has been amazing. Also using SayIntentions w/ traffic at max.
Screen freezes at every minor airport

Beta SU3
Extensive testing here. Stutters I had (Sim + Audio) were caused by PBO being activated on the bios (AMD 9800X3D). Since switched off, no more random stutters and sim is running very smoothly.
I am currently flying third leg of GVA-AMS-GVA-TLS-GVA to test loss of performance. Everything still smooth sim running since 4h now.

Still the London Heathrow landing with Fenix to do to finish testing.
Had a few flights in .26.
In .25 I had some regular stutters every 8-20sec where mainthread suddenly got peaked. These seem to be gone/better now in .26. Turned off AI live (marine traffic), gaist, reinstalled some drivers etc. Dunno what actually fixed it…
Still have some minor mainthread peaks. But these are so short that I don’t notice them in-game - more a visual observation of graphs.
Smooth flight Fenix EIDW-EDDM. Same iFly Kodiak-PANC. BAtc traffic. Ultra-High settings.
Get some minor stutters taxing in. Landing is smooth. To me it seems it occurs when loading in complex airport/terminalassets/interiors(?).
If the terminal is close to landing threshold stutters might occur upon landing. If termainal is further away, landig is smooth but some stutters when taxing closer to terminal.
Just my 0,2$. Overall pretty good. No CTDs in a long time. Also sim seems to close properly now when quitting(Steam version - before it would often hang).

Did a long haul from EHAM to ZBAA, still got performance degradation over time, but not that bad.
However starting a new flight has got worst fps as resource was not released.
The only solution was to restart msfs.
2nd flight in this build - a 1 hour 40-minute sightseeing flight from Yardie Homestead (YDAA) to Useless Loop (YUSL) at 2,500 ft in the Cirrus SR22. Performance was in line with previous recent builds. Pics with FPS widget can be seen here.
Finished testing.
Only two points in my case:
- Deterioration of performance after third leg of GVA-AMS-GVA-TLS-GVA, where I had no deterioration with SU2
- Stutters after touchdown during roll-out (only at heavy airports, EGLL 09L).
Other than this, everything is smooth.

Still looking good. Typically i get one or two drops like this one from 50→45 FPS but it is invisible from the cockpit, Has been stable a couple days now.
I am rigorous about making sure no other programs are running in the background including OneDrive, which did this to me.
I wonder if the odd lag is a MSFS download.
interested to hear more about your PBO settings - did you OC more than +200?
Hello,
+100 MHz with Motherboard limits set. Negative curve -15 as well.
This increases FPS but deteriorates stability. Since turned off, no more sounds stutters and random stutters.
CPU is watercooled.
Exactly! I find the warning utterly pointless to begin with. Surely everyone understands that when the performance tanks, the most likely reason are resources running out. And surely everyone understands what to do when resources run out.
Nothing like a full stop stutter at 50ft on the ILS approach
I really hope they are coming with some new build to try and solve it
Everything was running fine prior to the last update. Now my fps is much lower and my cpu is showing a constant purple in the fps and cpu graph on the dev mode fps counter, especially in dense areas.
I recently installed the SU3 beta (1.5.26.0) this release is really smooth and looks great. I’ve flown the Inibuilds A350, PMDG 777, Fenix A320 and iFly 737MAX and all have been very smooth with almost no stutters.

Low end system here, just flying A2A Comanche. SATR to SARE in windy conditions. Good flight, no problems. I switched to DLSS/DLAA from TAA as I was getting some flickering and that has improved things. So all good.
These performance surveys are odd. They are asking for an FPS judgement as the criterion for the vote.
The issue, for me, with this build is a return to stutters — something that I had not experienced for a number of immediately previous builds.
Today, I flew the Starship (which I have flown in the immediately previous builds) from KSBP (Just Flight) to KSLC (autogen). I experienced stutters on the takeoff roll, which is new, and I experienced stutters on the landing and when pulling up to park, which I hadn’t experienced for a number of the immediately prior builds.
How to vote then? Do I really rate this poor, given that 99% of the flight was smooth and stutter free, or do I rate this acceptable, when stutters aren’t acceptable given they weren’t there in the prior builds?
Ugh. Surveys…
Good permances for me on the 2 or 3 latest builds with Fenix, both take off/landing were smooth slutterless
Great post Nixon! Think everyone should focus on smoothness not FPS….
