A letter to Jorg Neumann

Does that make this Forum a ‘Microsoft Board of Directors’ Simulator? :yum:

By all means, please educate me.

Updates need to come fast. Rapid-fire Hotfixes wherever you can, even if it only solves the smallest of issues. When something is fixed, test and send. You can not rely on pushing bi-weekly or even monthly updates, there will be nobody left to receive them .

If you would read that paragraph properly, as others have done, you may understand why your comment made no sense to make.

Can you be more specific?

You said, “There is no such feature in 2024.”

That’s incorrect. I do, however agree with this:

There is no system for clearing/replacing them. Manually going through and clearing each conflict is not a system, no matter what method you use to search for them.

Well, people are NOT HAPPY with the way things are, how things were advertised and how they were delivered. People spent hard earned MONEY for this mess of a release, so yeah don’t be surprised there’s people posting their feelings and letters to the top dog running this show.

I know I’m getting old, but I remember just yesterday finding bindings that I wanted to clear. I clicked on the little gear next to each one and cleared each one. What was bizarre was having to create a new profile each time.

Maybe I’m getting senile. I’ll check it again tonight.

Can’t you just hover the mouse over bindings and press backspace to clear them?

Yes and if you’d read through this thread again you’d see that another user pointed out the little cog thing, and my reply to them was that it is still more user inputs than what is necessary.

Sure you can, have fun with that. Personally i prefer more “modern” methods of UI design (Modern being standard for at least a decade) where a user does not need to do that. Especially if you’re looking at the list of bindings containing Shift or Ctrl, for example.

There’s a line in the sand, drawn by the CoC. To wit:

The following is prohibited:

  • Demanding Microsoft, MSFS or Asobo staff to read your post.

Posting that a Microsoft employee should resign crosses that line…in my opinion.

You’re really making yourself out to be a bit of a misery aren’t you.

I think you’ll find I never demanded that Jorg read my message, I simply wrote it to him, which I am perfectly entitled to do.

The silly person who spoke about resignation was obviously coming from a stranger place, and has nothing to do with me.

I’m for a UI redesign and I’m not being combative at all, I’m just letting you know about an easier workaround that I haven’t seen mentioned at this point.

Another rant that basically drowns any valid concerns under a mountain of unnecessary verbosity. Complaining about everything from career mode bugs to UI in a rant is counterproductive. Constructive criticism is the way to go and not condescension if you want to be taken seriously.

What did I reply to? It was your post that declared that we couldn’t determine specific bindings and clear them the way we could in FS20. That’s all.

I never claimed that it was YOU who demanded anything.

Happy Flying. I’m out… :small_airplane:

On review, we have taken the decision to close this topic at this moment in time.
