Edit: I think I got this issue figured out, but not sure exactly what happened. I went back to the World Map page and relaunched the flight. From there, the displays were completely black & wouldn’t turn on at all. After seeing this issue mentioned in Discord, I saw that AntiVirus was removing FenixCDU.exe file, so I searched for mine. I found that I still had the file but it wasn’t running. As FYI, I had my Antivirus completely off because the updated fenix2gsx just gets deleted with AV turned on. So, I manually launched the FenixCDU.exe file and everything started working as it should.
Whenever I start the Fenix in cold and dark, it thinks I have 120 passengers boarded. If I click the reset button on the weight and balance EFB screen, it goes back to zero. Does anyone know if I can get this to default to zero? And, is there way to set the default fuel load?
Yeah, Fenix is aware of the bug. The workaround is, when you start a flight, don’t load your simbrief first but instead, go into the Fenix settings on the EFB. Click on the panel states and select cold and dark , then activate it. Do this even if you start with cold and dark already. Then go load your simbrief flight plan.
At the launch of flight at EBBR with FSLTL, I saw an improvement by 4-5 FPS. However as I land at destination and get ready for onward flight, FPS drops - that will be a MSFS thing, right? i712700K, 3070, 32 Gb RAM, 1440p
Today another exciting Airbus flight will take place (maybe in Tolouse or Finkenwerder or whatever this test airport for Airbusses is called).
May the exarragated turbulence and complete over-the-top downdraft be with you!
By the way, I am curious about the terrain map - doesn´t it always look this way? Whenever I see a real Airbus video with the pilots having the terrain map up and running the navigation display always has these two yellow areas with a number showing the terrain altitude in the right lower corner.
Are there different terrain modes available in a real Airbus?
(And there is only ONE button in the whole cockpit switching terrain on and off, I have no idea how to cycle through terrain modes if there are some more.)
Amazing update, many thanks to all the developers.
Reading through all the changes they have made, I wish I would be able to understand half of them. I guess you have to be a RLP or engineer to really appreciate such an effort. Flying into Toronto in VR with ATC vis FSHUD and lots of traffic in the landing pattern via FSTL, I am simply amazed about what flight simming with MSFS has become.
It’s not a bug. 120 is a default number of passengers in cold&dark state. He asked how to change the default value to 0 so every time you load the plane there is no single passenger on board. At the moment it’s not possible.
Does anybody have problem with sound cracking on Fenix A320? I tried everything, FPS are good but sound still cracks (shutter) very often especialy when airbourne. I dont have this problem with other large aircraft like PMDG 737.
thanks
I just completed a flight and on start up and I too had the 120 pax displayed as default (never seen this before!) I just clicked on the panel state tab (next to weight & balances) on the EFB, load cold & dark panel and it reset the panel and cleared to pax to 0. I was then able to load my flight plan and numbers from Simbrief which had allocated 160 pax.
I’ve just exited MSFS, so recap off the top of my head.
Just re-read your post, I see he is asking about 0 on loading rather than correcting afterwards. Ignore what I said.
Yep, just loaded up the MSFS for a flight and tried this again and hey presto, it works.
Click on the ‘MY FLIGHT’ tab and click ‘REIMPORT FROM SIMBRIEF’ after you have clicked on ‘COLD & DARK’ from the ‘PANEL STATES’ tab . If it is still not working, click on the captains hat button from the drop down menu at the top and import the operational flight plan too. This may help.
Don’t forget to click ‘Set as Default’ from the ‘Cold & Dark State’,
I would love to change the cold and dark state to 0 PAX and 0 fuel and 0 cargo too, because it´s more immersive when my 1 - 2 flight guests enter then plane when it´s running, but it is not that important. Just a detail that would be cool if it was there
Today we came to the conclusion that the Fenix is missing a SPEED BRAKE label on it´s spoiler panel.
That´s why I made one, coming soon to the cockpit overhaul
Yes, I would think so. FPS at arrival airports are generally quite a bit lower for me than departure airport. And even at departure airport, the FPS can differ quite a lot depending on e.g. photogrammetry close by.
I had the same issue. Are you using Axis and Ohs or trying to do it in MSFS directly? I had to delete my bindings in Axis and Ohs and use “Throttle X Axis” from MSFS directly for it to work.
This is a nice update. Completed one successful flight. These guys are spoiling me with working windshield wipers (with an actual visual effect). I wish more devs did that.
