[A319, A320, A321] Fenix High-Fidelity Aircraft

Interesting info, thank you. All of my flights are for the US majors and I pretty much always have a CI < 20. Is there ever a time in RL that pilots would change the CI in flight?

Check this out, here you can see the cost index used by many of the most famous airlines in the world. And no, it’s not a forum  https://www.togaprojects.com/cost-index-database

Yes, as mentioned before there are cases where you manually change speeds. But you might need OCC for this. (Operations Control Center)

Up to date and 100% correct: i don’t think so
better than nothing: absolutely :+1:

Accuracy of this database

This database is aimed for flight simulation only and for realism purpose, it is based on real world data but indicated values only are approximations. Real world cost indexes regularly change depending on the oil barrel price and this document is based on typical values.

This is exactly the website I had in mind when saying “some flight sim forums/websites”.

as expected

its a bit of a trade secret too, right?

after win 11 update fenix installer ctd directly after starting it. did a full reinstall, still the same

I’m not on the Fenix discord, has there been any update on the status of the Sharklets? Aside from making adjustments to graphics and the flight model, did this mod in RL also add any other changes to the cockpit or systems?

“Capt. Nigel

Sharklets for all variants are in development and this will be a free update.
There are no timeframes for the Sharklets release.”

This is still the latest bot response, for the last brave soul who dared to ask the question in the Fenix Discord.

No, there is no differences in systems or cockpit, only in handling, flight model and fuel usage

Today while I was flying the Fenix, in cruise, suddenly all the instruments, the throttle, the flaps, etc. froze. I managed to land and on the ground I realized that not even the nose wheel worked. Has this happened to anyone else?

Happened to me several times in PMDG and inibuilds planes but never in Fenix, yet.

edit: So it just happened when flying A321. During approach the plane stopped following the FD and started banking to the right. I disengaged AP but still couldn’t control the plane. When I was a few hundred feet above ground I suddenly regained controls and decided to fly the rest of the approach by hand. Unfortunately, a few moments later I lost controls again and the plane hit the ground. Over 3h wasted!!!

I managed to capture it on a video. Should be available soon.

Known bug, lately I crashed every other flight, I guess you were just lucky in the past. It came with one of the latest patch (since they released the separate installer). So I reinstalled the version what was released as an exe, since then I have no issue

The only thing I can download from Fenix website is the new small installer. Is it what you used to reinstall the plane?

If issues arise just after a patch and not everyone is getting it, maybe delete and recreate the MSFS rolling cache, even if you don’t have it set for use.

The issue is the external Fenix app crashing, nothing to do with MSFS itself. I’ve just got a response from Fenix support saying uninstall the plane, delete all the config files and install again.

MSFS is still involved in the transaction, but it was just a suggestion, so do as you will.

Nope. I have most of the installers since 1.0.96 til 2.0.0.407 (<- and this is what I used).

Which doesn’t really help (or at least me and the rest on the discord). I got the same response from their support, but the bug is in their code.
