So, I just had it happen again, this time exactly like you said. I had a CTD while setting up the flight, then couldn’t get back in without the sim hanging up in “suspended” while trying to load into the airport. Will probably work if I reboot the computer, but it’s getting too late to start over now, so off to bed and I’ll try again tomorrow.
just completed a 3 hour flight and believe me it’s the longest one yet haha. Yeah its hard for a full time uni student like me to do 3 hour flight without using sim rate.
In the livery app you can set the default to 8k or 4k too so that you don’t need to choose each time. Last setting here:
i had this issue yesterday with pmdg and navigraph. So I uninstalled pmdg and reinstalled it again. Since then, haven’t come across the issue.
Yes, the only thing there is that I can find is a one page checklist in the EFB documentation page
Oh no, I just realized that I can’t use increased simrate like at all with the FNX a320… This is killing me. I really hope they change this. I was so impressed with the pmdg 737 being able to use even up to 8x simrate with no issue. I really hate the FBW a320 limit at 2x but this is not even usable for me as as far as I can tell, you can’t even go 2x . Please say it ain’t so Fenix PLEASE.
What I usually do is actually do something else while the flight is on. So an 10 hour flight for me would be 1 hour for takeoff and reaching cruise altitude, then I leave to go to bed for a full 8 hours. Then I wake up, and I should be 1 hour away from arrival, so I’m usually in time for descent and landing.
Full time uni student shouldn’t be a problem. Start your flight, let it run while you go to class or write your paper, then once it’s almost time for descent and approach, you should be free and you can take it over again.
In the EFB aircraft settings
Sim rate??? Haha what’s that.
It only enables when you have pressure in the system
The plane is saved in the community folder. However an additional application goes in your program files folder on your windows drive that runs in the background alongside the sim. Liveries are installed into the community folder too and are installed using a livery manager that is also a separate application (but only needed when browsing/downloading liveries).
Currently the seat height in VR is still a problem, it is very annoying for me that the fenix does not react to my height / vertical speed / speed, I can turn the bravo as I want, nothing happens. someone with the same problem?
also the lights doesnt react!! i hate it to use my mouse in vr
Hiya, checklist is on the EFB under pilot briefing, documents. Hope this helps, Matt.
Make sure you report the crash, I suspect something with Navigraph from my experience.
Yes, the sim and app running, on the same PC. I click restart and the plane resets to whatever default state you have set.
Hopefully you’ll resolve this after a good night’s sleep.
Interesting. Thanks for that.
Did you update the data in the Navigraph app. I see there is also now a new setting in the Navigraph app to update the Fenix, which I updated. This might have been the reason of my crash.
You could consider try using MSI Afterburner like I do, but only for the fan speed control.
It’s odd. When my graphic card fans spin at medium-high variable rates, they can be very loud at let’s say 63%, but when I manually put them on 90%, they’re a lot more silent.
I simpy made two profiles inside the program changing it from 90% to variable. Always switch it on only for MSFS and turn it to variable again after the GPU cooled down. Maybe this works for you too.
Let me guess… You have an owner as well
Despite not having integrated graphics on my CPU (AMD) choosing to render displays on my GPU (3090) and despite the App saying that is not recommended choosing this option has given me at least another 15-20 FPS at inibuilds EGLL which is a pain in most planes as it is a big Airport, and having the fantastic EGKK from flightsim.to and payware Black bushe and Farnborough all in the same area, I am quite happy at the moment.
Click on the download and click on keep. Or post a screenshot of the error message
The plane is based of Prosim, so there might be some licensing agreements that keeps Fenix from providing an interface. Hope I’m wrong though.
