A320neo FBW: Difference between development and custom version

Do you also notice that there is a 10 fps difference lower by FBW than the default of msfs A320

They acknowledge it is not optimized properly yet.
I understand it is hard to keep it fully optimized, as it is so quickly evolving.

Having said that, the mod does have quite a few more features, has many more operational controls, and has a much more realistic flight control response, all which flies and handles noticeably nicer than the default. All that is going to cost some fps.

I think I read that they do plan to do a good optimization once they reach a particular point, and I think they are quite close to that point, if remember correctly.

You should be able to find more info through the A320NX mod’s home page, and in the “Issues” and “Discussions” sections there.

Here is a link to their site.

Not surprised at all. They redid the interior cockpit model, split the pilot and FO displays to be separate, added or improved (don’t remember which) display reflections on the glareshield, and then all the FMC etc improvements. Compared to the hit we used to get in FSX with something like the 737NGX the A32NX is doing great so far I think.

hello everyone, I am using the mod 320 flybywire fwb, but I encounter problems with both autopilota and direct point insertion as well as when extending the aerial flaps rises dizzyingly, now I am obliged to use this mod because otherwise I do not work the thrustmaster’s a320 handle, c and a way to update this mod otherwise so the plane is almost ungovernable

Do you know if there is a way to switch off the co-pilots displays? Was thinking that might reduce the CPU load a bit.

Yes, just turn the rotary dimmer knob all the way down for the PDF and ND displays.

duh
thanks sir. Im an idiot sometimes

The insertion point is a result of the Asobo coding.
Until the Custom FlybyWire creates their own autopilot, or is able to come up with a good temporary fix, it will be a limitation.

You can try putting your HDG on Selected mode (click the bottom of the knob), then steering the plane with the Hdg Knob, trying to follow the course until you can intercept the ILS.
You can also use “DIR” on the MCDU keypad which the FMS will then use to go to whatever waypoint in your flightplan you select.

The flaps are a result of the result of the way the A320 flaps are interpreted in the sim, which gives too much lift when Flaps1 is selected.
It is something you will see be ironed out by the mod crew, as they want the mod to be as realistic as possible!
In the meantime, be as slow as you can when the flaps are first deployed, so you have less lift, and just allow the autopilot to return the aircraft to where it should be, when it starts to happen.

Stay up to date with the mod.
Download the current version before each session you plan to use it in.
Fixes and improvements are made on a daily basis.

direct doesn’t always work, sometimes it continues the route as if nothing had :frowning: it’s a pilot slaughterhouse like this, hopefully they solve as soon as possible

Are you using the CFBW version, and is it current?
It should go directly to the point you selected in DIR, if it doesn’t, there is something going on.
Often though, if that waypoint is part of an approach, it may not follow the route automatically after you get to that waypoint
.

If you’re using the Experimental Custom FBW version. Just make sure you keep it updated everytime you start the Sim. They get updated sometimes 2x or up to 3x daily. So you have to keep updating it.

You can keep your aircraft to fly in managed airspeed. That way when you deploy the flaps, the Auto-thrust is already targeting a lower speed, which brings the thrust back to idle. That way, it can mitigate the extra lift generated by the flaps.

I have a question regarding the flightplan. sometimes the beginning of a plan is not visible.
the plan is visible on the fmc from the runway till the end of the route but not at the display.
looking at fmc I see that the first line mention a waypoint and between brakets there is no text.
do I have to fill in that or is it removeble, have not a clew.

Well, the ADIRS need to be set to NAV first, and let the IRs to align before you can see the flight path line in the Navigation Display.
