Nobody said it would be. You’re arguing against an own argument as it seems. It’s a matter of priorities and something that isn’t hard is not necessary quick (see below).
That’s how you end up with a poor implementation that causes issues elsewhere.
Also you seem to think that software development only consists of a developer throwing in code, which is by far not the reality.
