You may also notice that career mode is completely color blind. Daughter/mother father/son as often as not are a different ethnicity. Once in a while, I can suspend belief and pretend it’s a stepmom/stepdad, but it happens all the time, which unfortunately is an immersion killer just as every flight being in a sandstorm, tornado or thunderstorm, all of which occur now and again but not most of the time. I have no idea if this is working as intended or if it’s a bug.

Given their avatar designs in both FS20 and FS24, I’m wouldn’t be surprised if it’s by design. Or if I’m being generous, it’s just a random character generator.
From the UK perspective, we do imagine almost all American women are called Lisa or Jennifer.
All American men are called Elmo or Chad depending on whether they’re blue collar or white collar. Or Jessica, of course.
To be fair, (c) is probably because they’re looking out of the window and seeing blurry textures and their house popping in and out of existence.

I’ve lived in the U.S. my whole life and the only Elmo I’ve ever heard of was a muppet.
Now, when a comedian once joked that all British Airways pilots are ‘Nigel’, I have to admit I couldn’t stop noticing it! Either I’ve had the same pilot for every British Airways flight, or there really is an odd concentration of British pilots named Nigel.

My first VIP flight was between like Bora Bora and Tahiti in a C172, and the passenger opens with “I was told there will be network signal for the whole trip, I understand that it might have to be disable at times, so please let me know ahead of time”
I’m thinking… “Wifi, on a Cessna over open water… Bro, if our sales people told you that, and you believed them, you’re about to get all the internet you really deserve… BUCKLE UP!”

I had a passenger on Medivac who’s name was Laurent. Then “Vincent” was conforted that we’ll arrive soon. I think the guy changed his name 3 times.
I remember not long ago, leading up to FS24’s release, so many people were touting all the improvements AI will bring to the sim.
Those claims agreed like warm milk, didn’t they?

AI makes the scenery possible.
I believe the scripts for Career Mode are generative, based on If ____ then ____ rules, and not quite what I would consider AI. And while we call fake voices AI, those aren’t exactly AI either.
