Anyone know how to disable genric a330’s and a380’s when using it with real time AI?
I disabled both the parked air traffic and use of generic models but for some reasons I still see those boxy default planes.

do you have many airlines installed? if yes, chance is higher that msfs uses aig models instead of generic models. because of that I only use offline ai traffic, i cant stand those generic aircraft
I installed every single AIG airline possible
Turn AI & offline traffic off completely. AIG injects traffic into the sim by the Traffic Manager, FS native air traffic should be completely disabled.
Assuming you’ve set ground aircraft to 0 then that should be the end of them.
I mean I want to use AIG models but with the default MSFS live timetables, but for some reasons still keep seeing the default generic models

I believe, although don’t quote me on it, that it isn’t really designed for that purpose.
Also, remember that it is in the ‘Alpha’ stage so won’t work perfectly.
I used the AIG models with AIG fligtplans before, but switched to MSFS timetables lately.
The reasons are however mostly the state of the default ai behaviour rather than the quality of AIG itself. Like the fact that half the landing flights are going around and traffic jams on the runway.
Know what you mean, I seems I mistakenly thought that was a bug with the Traffic Manager.

Yes, currently there are a lot of bugs with the default msfs ai traffic engine sadly. And because of that the more planes in the sky you have - the more those bugs become appearant and disruptive.

Open the aircraft.cfg of the generic twin and quad engine airliner. In the [GENERAL] section change icao_generic = 1 to icao_generic = 0. Go to every [FLTSIM] below and change isAirTraffic = 1 to isAirTraffic = 0.
In the game settings turn on generic models for AI traffic.

It seems that somehow all my AIG aicraft is gone with only the flightplans still remaining. 
I am not sure if clicked it on something in the settings by accidient..
And I don’t even know how to re-download them, “Verify Setup” seems to have no effect
The AIG server is currently offline so you can’t download models and liveries.
I use AIG models with real time AI as well and sometimes see a generic model. I’ll try Chaezaa’s tip.Thanks.
I guess we could change Multi turbo to get dash8s + privatejets to get challengers and others?
I’m not sure if it’s related but I can’t hear ATC speaking to AI anymore after I tried it.
But no generic planes in sight by far.
You only disabled the generic Asobo airliner. It shouldn’t have any effect on ATC.

For live traffic? You can use any model you want as generic. You can use the dash 8 as multi turbo generic. You would need to create a copy of the aircraft folder in your community folder (with the whole SimObjects and Airplanes structure), give it a different name, get the sound files, change the FLTSIM titles a little bit, ad the icao_generic line and update the layout file. Now you would have it as multi turbo generic for live traffic.
False alarm. ATC back to normal when I restarted.
Can anyone else not download from their website rn?
Their servers are down, probably until at least the middle of February.
