AIG AI Manager and Traffic Controller for MSFS

That doesn’t seem right. When doing long-haul I usually get several TCAS warnings due to nearby aircraft. And there’s lot of activity on the Center frequencies, at least in Europe and USA/Canada.

I am doing a Worldwide tour and from Recife (Brazil) to Dakkar it was empty, did Dakkar-Lagos and totally empty (airports and airpsace), it only renders ground vehicles

Maybe is the location but I thought it was a WW coverage.

i have all major airlines installed with the AI Manager.

(btw: reading other posts someone reported the PMDG after-install issue, I happen to fly the 737 PMDG in case is a problem with it)

Maybe try this app?

Hey blade…so your Cairo (HECA) doesn’t look like this (and I’m pretty sure I’m missing a lot of local/regional airlines for this part of the world).

This is offline (since Real-time is clearly broken). I can tell you, like many/most airports in the game, this one isn’t optimized for Ai.

When I use AIG Controller it looks like your pictures, but with ingame live traffic just nothing :frowning:

I’m confused…so your statement that “Some airports spawn no AI traffic at all. Not even big ones like Dubai, Cairo, Bejing, Moscow, …” is wrong? Perhaps you should correct your posting to make it more accurate.

Furthermore, it seems like your issue is with Real-Time traffic and doesn’t belong in this thread as it isn’t related to AIG’s mod, since it is directly related to shortcoming with MS/Asobo’s implementation of real-time AI traffic.

I finally have TC up and running without CTDs and get AI airliner flights around the world, e.g. Cairo.

I have been using live traffic lately with AIG models but I wonder why I see a JetBlue a320 in Nice France or London city :joy:

result of some matching issues within MSFS…

Yep. Just saw a Qantas Link in Glascow  It’s not perfect, but right at this very moment I don’t think I could live without AIG.

That’s not AIG’s fault to be honest. That’s just how MSFS loads the ground aircraft and placing them to the parking spots. They’re random, especially when the airport is lacking a matching parking codes in their AFCAD. But I’ve seen a few mods out there that modifies the AFCAD parking codes on some airports, and that actually solved the randomness nature of the gates and start seeing proper airlines parking at their correct gates.

I just wonder why this side is always missing from payware airport developers. I would think they are meticulous enough to complete every gate/parking with their appropriate parking codes and making sure all the taxiways are interconnected that the default ATC can guide you to and from the runway to the correct gates that matches with your livery’s parking codes.

simple reason for that: The current Scenery Editor does not have the parking codes in the UI (at least last time i checked)… Developers need to add them manually in the XML before compiling

Okay, that makes sense… Which still bring us back to the same question, why don’t developers just add them manually in the XML as part of their process.

I mean, I also have made and released a few free mods myself, and all of my mods are always direct XML editing, or using Notepad++ to edit some hex values, using JSON sorting, and stuff to make new things. So I understand the challenge doing so, but if it’s the only way to make it work. Then I would think it should be part of the development process before they’re released.

Aak the scenery developer to add the values in the next update  I am sure many will do that

Because the way it needs to be done today it can take hours… We did add parking codes to LLBG via the XML and I can tell you it was a pain. We finished the terminal area and all AI went to the remote parking as it was empty. We finished the remote area parking codes and all AI start to go nuts

The SDK needs some love in this matter, once we have more tools to handle parking codes via the scenery editor without spending hours on it, developers will start using it.

Ohh I thought it was just copy-paste a whole group of parking codes and just remove the ones that we don’t want. Hahaha. I would love to see what the AI was doing.

We wish it was just copy-paste.
The issue is that you need to be specific where each airline will park. For example on T3 gates D are mostly use by EL AL but the way it works now is that there are no priorities so if D gates are more or less 80% full the sim will send the AI to park on each remote stand that compatible with the aircraft and has no designated parking code. What an headache!

I use Birdman’s fixes.

Ok, need some help.

I got AI manager and the Traffic manager set up as per most of the tutorials online. I found another way to modify the AIG traffic while adding in default GA traffic while removing the default Airline traffic so I could use both AIG Airline with stock GA.

I noticed a few crashes but managed a long flight yesterday with none.

I did however notice a lot of near misses in the air with GA traffic ATC was not making me aware of, also I noticed some GA traffic at my destination airport making sound with not visible aircraft, and another invisible one taking off with sound and floating nav lights.

  1. Is there a more current way to use AIG for offline airline traffic and retain the somwhat random GA traffic?
  2. Why am I seeing invisible aircraft?
  3. In msfs what setting should I use for the Generic models option at the bottom of the traffic options in MSFS?

Because, more then 70% on AIG pushes down the FPS much further, and does not increase Air Traffic, but on ground, the Airports a full (even on 70%).

Live Traffic is a total ■■■■, only very few upto no traffic, and only standard MSFS Models and Paints… or is AIG working with Live as well? I couldn’t make it work till now.

In P3D4, alI always had a full sky with only 35-40%… traffic like in the real world.
