I can say…major improvement in FPS in my case even at KORD!!!
Also, in the rain, now the planes on takeoff roll have a splash and jet wash effect! Very cool!

Good question!
In my view, the whole of the available AIM documentation carefully avoids updating and mentioning pilots who choose only to use VATSIM. 
What about FS Traffic or FSLTL?

There are other solutions as well but I don’t know anything about them.
simply start AIM, it will tell you to update the models
because AIM was never developed with focus on VATSIM, we have it on our todo list, but priorities are on the internal AI system of the Sim. For VATSIM-Users there have been already a hugh set of Matchfiles on flightsim.to

AIGTC has been updated to 0.7.2.0.
This update only contains the already annouced Stability-Fixes, the other big changes will be released with SU13, since there are some changes that would not work with the current SU12.

AIM is running version 1.2.0.6
Is there any place to check if models have been updated - because AIM never notified me.
I have selected to use freeware only and no manual downloads - might that be reason?
there is a red button in case of any update in the AIM main screen

we released a small update for the B767 and B787 that should improve performance of both a bit more, besides that the effects on the 787 have been reworked

we have updated AIM with a new feature to improve compability with the FSLTL traffic injector. Run verify setup once to “upgrade” the already installed content.
FSLTL should now (or after an update on their side) be able to assign special liveries installed via OCI to the correct Aircraft.
Same feature could be used by the internal AI system of MSFS - but as far as I know they do not use the fltsim-key for that…
