Just finished development of my neweset ‘Air Manager’ instrument for my cockpit project. The ‘LC Data Recorder’.
The ‘LC Data Recorder’ is an ‘Air Manager’ instrument for inspecting and recording flight data while flying any aircraft in Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS2020).
The set of flight data to display and record can be customized through a configuration file (JSON).
The instrument provides a front panel with an LCD screen to display the flight data and several selector buttons.
While flying the pilot can select any data item to display the acquired (current) value on the LCD screen.
For easy access and fast display switching, the data items are grouped in four data sets, one set for engine data and three user sets for free use. The engine data set contains one subset for each engine installed in the aircraft.
When required the pilot can record the acquired data manually any time or start and stop continuous recording of the acquired data. The recording interval is selectable from once per minute up to 4 times per second.
The records are logged in the ‘Air Manager’ log file for later postprocessing (e.g. in Microsoft Excel)
