All controlls disabled while mouse hovers over undocked gauges/panels

I suppose that’s mayba a different - additional - issue.

Tested in MSFS 2024 SU3 - still broken. :frowning:

SU4 beta release notes state: “Performance optimization of input system.“
I’d be happy to have at least a input system that accepts the inputs.

Probably Asobo will notice during performance testing that the performance while hovering over undocked windows ist simply “not existing” as completely NOTHING works then.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

If you float any window (e.g. The EFB, but it’s the same for all others) and then move the mouse pointer over them (No need to click) then you can’t control the plane (I’m using an Xbox controller) until the mouse pointer is moved off the window.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every time.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Have a PC with 2 or more screens, play the sim with mouse and controller (Xbox controller in my case)

  2. Float the EFB and drag to your 2nd screen

  3. You can fly the plane as normal on your controller until you move the mouse pointer over the EFB, then it stops responding to left stick input

YOUR SETTINGS

PC with 2 screens, sim is only on screen 1

What peripherals are you using:

  • Mouse
  • Xbox controller

It doesn’t matter whether you’re using multiple screens or just one..

It’s easy to reproduce. Tried it on dozens of setups and it was always exactly the same reproduceable issue.

Most friends switched to Mobiflight or AAOs and avoid the in-sim controls assignments due to that.

Me as well. But thanks for raising it again.

This hobbling of MSFS controls has been outstanding for YEARS. If it is a systemic problem that cannot be fixed, then at least let the community know. Just (apparently) ignoring the issue, without keeping users in the loop, is simply bad customer relations. Come on MS do the decent thing and ackowledge the loyalty of your long-suffering customers.
