I have found B&H to be an incredibly honest and reliable retailer. I have been shopping with them for decades (for many, many different kinds of products from cameras, lenses & filters to TVs, to tablets, to drones, to monitors, etc…) and have never had a problem with them. Furthermore, their prices are exceptionally competitive, and their delivery time frames are unparalleled.
Beware, I believe that’s the price for the joystick without its base. You have to buy at least one base with it and it’s closer to $400.
While I agree tarriffs don’t help, the shortage is everywhere.
Go to amazon.fr: shortage. Go to amazon.de: shortage. And you can try other online shops, it’s the same, except for expensive gear. There are no tarriff wars between the EU and China. So yes it’s a combination of unusually high demand and low production volumes.
No the price for the VKB includes the base.
My Microsoft Pre-Order placed in August showed up at my door out of no where. It was a nice little surprise.
The Stick is nice, the Throttle unit is…Meh. But for $170 combo, I really can’t complain.
Anyone who got it, I shared my settings for A320 here Issues setting up Thrustmaster TCA Throttle Quadrant - #147 by MatteBoot570227
These settings, line up everything perfectly for me on the A320 with a perfectly working Reverse, Idle, CLB, FLX and TOGA.
Ar you sure ? In the shop, the joysticks are represented without the base. If you’re correct, then they aren’t overly expensive, compared to a Wathog for instance.
edit: not really, the price doesn’t include the base. The price with the base is super expensive, for instance VKB North America
There is only ONE model that includes the base and I believe you’re talking of this one: the Gladiator NXT. But it’s made of plastic, contrarily to the other ones, it’s just not the same quality.
My T1600 is plastic and I think it’s pretty solid. It did not cost 120-150 dollars though.
I too have been waiting for the release of the Airbus Edition for a long time. I checked every day, without success. So I decided to give up and buy the Logitech Saitek G Pro with two quadrants found on Amazon, even though I’m a fan of the A320.

This is true. I think that because they’re SO diverse and sell everything from cameras to keyboards to telescopes that when a single item is out of stock, especially a little $69 flight stick, that it only affects 0.000000001% of their sales. I just won’t order anything that’s not in stock anymore. 99.99999% of the time what I’m looking for is in stock and their prices and almost always free shipping can’t be beat.
You know what? My local Micro Center showed online that they had one in stock so I snapped it up. Now, assuming that they really do have one, I’ll be flying this afternoon. If it turns out that they don’t have it, I’ll order the Gladiator online and I’ll be flying next week. Either way… I’ve waited this long ![]()
Excellent info from everyone! Thanks!
I pre ordered it on Amazon Uk a few months ago and they never delivered on release day due to no stock.
I then ordered the side stick separately off eBay UK and I got the quadrant from eBay but from Germany. I now have both, but slightly more expensive.
Request a stock alert from well know web shop. Then buy immediately when you get an email. You have to be quick . You may only have minutes to buy. Your competing against the profit hungry resellers who buy all the stock and sell for inflated prices
