The printer is also great for making custom buttons and knobs. You can use tactile switches attached to a prototype board then mount the board to the bottom of your panel faceplate. My printer is a 3in1 so I can do CNC and laser operations too. but you could print button tops with recessed lettering that you fill with white paint via a syringe. I’ve done this in the past and it looks awesome. DCS forum has some great ideas and examples of panel building that you can use for a MSFS aircraft.
There are not many how-to threads here yet, but her is a link to a thread I started some time ago. There are some pretty nifty DIY panels there. My button box there uses the method for buttons that I described above.
