15UTC, just google it… its about an hour from now on

I kinda wish Microsoft or whoever promoted or hyped these releases more. Without this thread I’d had no idea this was coming lol

This isn’t a confirmed time, and in fact recent updates were released later in the day than this.

Like little children waiting for the Christmas present  :sunglasses: :beers:

Well, default or not, a32nx s systems are pretty great, many custom systems are not at the level of what fbw has achieved with the a32nx… even though they do mention that flight plan sync may cause issues.

But here’s the point is a bit moot anyway, most atr routes are supposed to be short anyway and should not be too much of a hassle to enter in the mcdu manually. It not like we will be entering flightplan in a gns 530 or a g1000 without keyboard input…

I think what he means is that even though they say 1500z(11am), the updates still always dropped later in the afternoon.

For a start, Xbox and cloud users have no option to import Simbrief flight plans, they have to manually program the whole route. Secondly, using an external tool to create flight plans should not be mandatory when the external tools are not even provided by the developer of the simulator (e.g. no guarantee of what will or will not work). Thirdly, manual programming of whole flight plans is even harder for those above who don’t use a mouse for the simulator.

While the flight planner of the world map lacks several features, it’s a great, easy-to-use visual tool to create flight plans with all basic data (SID, routing, approach, altitude and even some WB data). It’s always much better and faster to import that data automatically when loading in. The tool could be (and should be) improved a lot, but it’s there for a good reason. And since it is a built-in tool, it’s always strange when a first-party aircraft doesn’t support it.

I don’t know if developers really have to choose one method or the other, or it’s simply their choice not to support one, but the best solution would be if they were technically compatible so that this wouldn’t even be a question.

Really pumped for the ATR-72 in particular. Is this something that’s going to be easy to fly with a jet-style throttle quadrant (Thrustmaster TCA Airbus), or should I not bother since it doesn’t have the prop levers? (Or should I unlink the engine throttles and make one of them trigger both power levels, and the other one trigger both prop levers?)

The A310 has simbrief import on the Xbox or at least it did until the last update. If you add your simbrief user name into the FMC you can import your active flight from simbrief.

You’ll have no issue. I use my Boeing throttle for GA.

it is what it is… for now, it was not possible for every advanced 3rd party plane like FENIX, PMDG, CRJ, etc…
We will see. But, no hate against Xbox, but it was clear that XBOX wont have the same features as PC.
Compromising products only to make them work for more “casual users” (no offense!), is not the way to go for such developers.

Lets see, what will be possible in the ATR and what not.
Again, this is an “expert series” plane, and maybe, this product just isnt for every user.
thats fine, as many many products out there are also not for me.
Cant please everyone anyway…

I’m not so sure about CRJ but that’s not a problem for us FMC/FMS/MCDU typists :sunglasses: I always manually insert my waypoints, I’ve never used an import. Then I feel like there’s something that’s not under my 100% control.

The CRJ doesnt support World map planning. Only simbrief import or manual entry.

the a310 has simbrief support on xbox/xcloud and is very useful

I use Xcloud and use a plugin to emulate the cursor using the mouse. The time saved by filling the route is great.

I wish it had for other aircraft too.

They do it on every major social media site, on the official website and also weekly updates. What else do you want? TV adverts?
