ATR Cockpit/EFB always dark

I just bought this Airplane and try to fly after install and I have exactly the same situation reported here: The ATR have the engines running, the exterior and interior textures are all ok, but the Avionics, Electricals on all screens are “black” (in fact they have only the reflection of the cockpit), the EFB that should be working have the same problem off and only the reflection of the cockpit). The buttons in the panel and overhead panel seem to work when you press them, but nothing happens related to the operated button. The pedestal controls and buttons same thing.
Have tried to install, uninstall and reinstall already 3 times with no success.

I have to close my posts, saying that since upgrading from an i7-960 to an i5 10 core 13400 processor, I no longer have any issues with the ATR, except an imported model ATR for Blue Island. Whilst the Air Lingus Regionally works perfectly, the blues Island model will not follow the tiller on taxi, despite correct setup. I also can now build and fly the A310 and the Volocopter. The older processors were not capable off the intricate manipulations that the software builders have introduced to these complex airframes.

Series X/S Fix

Okay had this issue. Complete new FS install
Zero addons no world updates as this is what happens on a series X.

As I’ve noticed in pictures, battery is spawning on override, windshield wipers are on Max, but not actually doing anything? And nothing Is on?

The fix. (While i tried a new install of sim) it was still broken. What did fix it was.

-Delete the addon support folder on the Xbox and reinstall it.
-Open sim and clear the in game cache.

I have a few videos showing exactly how the aircraft was being loaded. Dome light on max, Emergency, exit lights on, not armed, but actually on. Wipers on max, gust lock off. It’s was all sorts of broken. Installed the ATR 4 times. Was the only thing installed, came from Beta, installed the last update and it broke everything.

So, I’m playing Microsoft Flight Simulator on Xbox Series S/X. Yesterday, I purchased an ATR 42/72 from the marketplace. However, when I spawn with that aircraft at the airport, I notice that only my engines are working, but the screens in the cockpit remain black. I also receive an error message stating: Additional Content Missing. If you fly this aircraft, you may experience defective features. Please restart your game and install the additional content to have a fully functional aircraft. I have done everything, but it still doesn’t work.

Almost same happen to me last night, with the exception that I was using the ATR, which work normally. I didn´t reinstall the whole game as Greg mentioned. I just were gaming in a flight with the ATR 42. Once I arrived to destiny, and turn off the plane, went back to main page and notice there were an up date for ATR. I installed the update and after that, both ATR 42 -72 simply doesn´t work. Tablet is dark, no energy at all, some switches are on weird position like battery that instead being off at the begining, now is in overrride position and most probably many others. I uninstall and reinstall the planes again, nothing happen, make a hard console rest, nothing happen. If Ibegin the flight from runway, it works very smooth, however all cockpit is totally black like there were no energy at all. Not even let me to back to cold and dark, because tablet is off as well.

The plane has no power available to any of the electrics; the throttles do not move (though they are audible) and EFB and all panels remain dark no matter what. always happens immediately upon load in, whether or not engine is running
I have tried everything the others in the thread have suggested, however i have also attempted loading in the Volocopter initially then using Dev mode to switch to the ATR (either model) as an additional attempt. sadly, this did not change things at all (though loading in the ATR 42 in that state caused the expected effect. loading in the ATR 72 caused a CTD the first time, then the expected behaviour on the second.

I do have the same issue with ATR , and I just bought it today , it is quite frustated.

Brief description of the issue:

Sometimes after starting a flight session the EFB is black only with hints of text and pictures being visible. It is active as clicking around does show some other pictures but there is no way to get it to show the text. After restarting, without any changes, it is fine again.

I don’t have a deterministic way of reproducing it. Just encountered it sometimes after starting a session.

This was after starting a flight directly at EDDS RW25 right after starting the sim. After clicking restart things were back to normal.

Have you used the new dim feature functionality ?:

I use the dim feature in the setup area of the tab and it works well. Very usable in the dark.

I have it set to 10%, which usually gives a quite well readable EFB.
I tried to set it to a higher brightness value while it was in this dark state and could only get it to a state in which it barely showed the text.

Having purchased the ATRs recently and after perfect couple of flights same issue of cockpit being cold and dark in the real sense has cropped up with similar warning of certain add-ons missing.

Its a huge disappointment purchasing this otherwise beautiful aircraft which I was just beginning to enjoy.From the posts it appears everybody is talking about it but no solution has been found as yet.

If this problem existed the plane should not have been put up on the marketplace.I for one would certainly seek a refund from MSFS.

I wonder if MSFS can’t attend to the ongoing bugs and issues what’s the point in creating a new edition namely FS2024.It is expected that the problem will be attended to on top priority.

I am on Xbox series X and using Velocity One FMS.

This is registered as “Bug Logged” as you can see from the tags at the top of the page.
Bug Logged means:

The issue reported by the community has been successfully reproduced by our test team and turned into an official bug. The bug is now being assigned, prioritized, and worked on for a future fix.

This can also be caused by a mod conflict.
Have you tried with other addons removed to see if that is the cause of your issue?

I have tried to start the aircraft by myself , before yesterday I did not have any issue with the screens but since yesterday I can not turn ON the 5 screens of the ATR. Tried everything i.e DC GPU , batteries , straight away from the runway in order to be already set up but nothing works. Rest of the electrics and avionics working fine , just the screens dont light up. In the beginning they seem to work fine as they light up with the famous green “T” of the ATR´s but later on go dark.

That is when I turn off manually the screen and try to restart it… it seems it will work fine but just goes off afterwards

When selecting the plane and hit fly the plane starts on the runway, fully working but the cockpit is dead, the panel is shot down. If I press F4 for full power it works but if I press the dot for the breaks they are not released.
