Same for me, disabled rolling cache and had no issues, then about 3 days later it started again
How did you disable the rolling cache?
I created a folder for the rolling cash. Started the sim and pointed to that folder. Then exited the SIM. Went to the folder and deleted it then started the sim again and the rolling cash was automatically set to zero since the folder is not there
But now that I want to try it on with the rolling cash set to on, I can’t set it on anymore and it just stays at zero. Even if I create a new folder and set the new folder in the SIM, when I place 16 gigs or whatever it needs it still tells me I need a numeric number in a resets to zero once again. I think it’s a bug in the sim
Won’t work. I tried
It’s not really a bug in the sim. That is totally unexpected behaviour from the sims point of view. Bit late now but you’d probably have been better off just moving the .ccc file to your desktop or something so you could put it back.
I guess reinstalling the whole game will sort it out and it doesn’t take that long.
So try it out the same flight this time with 2020, complete smoothness, no audio popping, all the same settings. Just really disappointed with us sobo and 2024. They really need to concentrate on performance, server issues, latency and drop all other updates of aircraft and features. They need to work on just the foundation of the sim
No need to reinstall the sim. I tried the same thing once with the RC, had the same bug as you.
Delete your usercfg.opt file and restart the sim, it will reset your graphics settings and allow a new rolling cache.
When I wanted to try again with the RC, I just re created the custom folder I previously deleted and then started the sim. The value was back at the default 16 GB
still happening in 2024. annoying. no bug logged?
For whatever reason 24 will not create my rolling cache anymore. I pointed it to another folder restart the sim still set to zero
Go to the Online settings page and click reset to default.
After that restart the sim. Upon successful restart it will have created a new RC in the standard directory.
So it seems we still have no solution, or even recognition, to/for this issue.
While I could sit here and write an essay on all the problems of MSFS2024, it would simply be a huge waste of time, and not useful to anyone - we all want this issue to be fixed.
For me, and many others, we have tried and tried the suggested fixes for this issue contributed by posters in the thread - to no avail.
At the minute - it does appear to me that the sim is fundamentally broken. WASM crashes and CTDs, stutters all plague this sim, and, at the minute, make it unusable for me and many others.
I’m afraid for me it’s back to 2020 for the time being.
Will be nice to know of all those who are having this kind of issue , on the bottom of your post on replies place your location and your internet speed. I’m curious to know if it’s certain areas that are having issues or if it’s just all over the board.

But I’m not sure it matters, the last few days were fine for me but I know it will do it again in a few days.
I don’t know any software that will run so badly from one day to another.
I could totally accept some blurry or generic textures when the servers are under load, understandable, but I don’t accept my sim becoming a stutter fest without any change on my side.
Anyway you understand how badly this software is coded when you see how bad the menus are performing.
I think the best course would be to move to x Plane, the sim looks closer to real life compared to that stuttery video game.
This thread might provide some answers.
I’m still figuring it out, but tentatively I’ve seen a real improvement.
If Xbox consoles are affected too, then Asobo has a bigger problem on their hands than we thought. I’m still not experiencing any issues myself, but I figured it’s worth pointing out that it’s not just PC users dealing with the audio stuttering problem in MSFS 2024.
I’ll do more testing but had a flight yesterday with the older drivers 566.14 back from November 2024. Did not have any popping with audio.
