Autogen houses/terminals do not have windows anymore

Fly in France, SU5, no windows on all autogen buildings.
4070, 64 Go ram, resolution 2560x1440, Nvidia DLSS Super Resolution, UltraPerformance, AMD Fidelity 110, Frame Multiplier 2X.

:frowning:

Would you mind please going to CYUL and letting us know what you see?

This is SU4

SU5

Even the tower has changed.

Thanks

This topic is now “bug-logged” so it looks like they were able to reproduce and confirm that it is broken.

Just a heads up - this note from the Senior Community Manager was included with the release notes for 1.7.7.0 so expect no change for this issue on the newest build that released today (Feb 20).

I was just flying over Vegas and to tell you the truth, unless I’m down a few hundred feet over the ground, I really don’t notice the missing windows and doors unless I look for them specifically. Even the Cessna goes fast enough to make it tough to really see them missing. Definitely a bug but my other graphics were so fast and smooth I’d almost consider it a price to pay
..almost.

I think it’s very nice to have that information / issues like that acknowledged. Doesn’t really matter to me that they are not yet fixed but it feels good to know that they are working on them.

I don’t see how it’s that big of a deal to revert. But you do you

Big enough deal for me Tuskin.. Everyone has their red lines. Ive come to respect that.
Im looking forward to the fix when its ready.

Fair enough. It’s one of the things you just cannot “unsee”, right? Since I noticed it the first time I look at the autogen houses automatically every flight. They’re already really ugly but without the windows

But since SU5 is sooo smooth on my system I’ll stick to it. Let’s hope they get it fixed rather soon.

Regarding the autogen houses in general, I really really dislike the night lighting on those autogen house windows. Wish they could give that some love, too.

We talked about the autogen buildings / their missing windows so far here.

I just flew in the dark to check what the “windows” of photogrammetry citites look like. The lighting is completely missing, only lightpoles (or rather the ugly floating lightpoints
) are there.

But as I rarely fly at nighttime - can anyone confirm if this is a new SU5 beta bug? Or was it always like that?

If it’s new, it might also be related to the autogen building issue here (as I assume the PG window lights are kind of autogenerated too).

Examples:

After take off LGAV

So if there are no windows, what happens to the lights at night?

Most likely won’t show. You act as though this is not a logged bug and getting fixed. I’ve flown a lot at night and there is plenty of other lighting in cities to make up for windows missing. Just have some patience. This is a beta.

I’m not acting like anything. It was just a question because I’m not in the Beta and was curious about what was seen at night if there are no windows.

You might want to lead your question with that then in a discussion that’s dominated by people who are actively helping in the beta. The assumption is that people contributing to the conversation here are beta testers, most who jumped in on day one knowing the risks and work in reporting.

Whew, that’s a lot of vitriol for a simple question. Unfortunately for most folk, we each individually think in our own patterns and not with your thought patterns.
I could not know ahead of time how my really simple question could cause you such annoyance. I shall be sure to never make that mistake again.

Vitriol? Hardly. Your post just made no sense if you made that assumption that you are an active beta participant. The info you were asking for was fully covered in previous posts and you could have simply looked at it yourself. It would have made sense if you phrased it as if you were not in the beta and curious about what was going on. Just a suggestion is all. My guess is it will all get fixed with the release next week.

I was in the middle of reading the thread and not at the end. Since it had not been spoken about until the end, which I had not reached, I was curious. I will leave this here.
