Does anyone know if the Cessna C408 SkyCourier is working currently and worth getting in career for cargo missions?
737 is when you make real money. The plane isnāt fun becasue itās kinda buggy and the sim lags a fair amount for some reason but you can make up to 10 mil credits per flight. It took me weeks to grind to 100mil to buy the 737 max and was able to make that money back in 2 days. I personally love flying the PC-12 in medium cargo missions.
150 planesā¦
Must be a nightmare maintaining all of them.
I find it somewhat annoying even with my 5 planes.
I am currently using it and I love it.
The AP works great in cruise but I have been having issues with it following the glide path during landing.
It also stops on a dime with full reverse thrust when landing.
Another slight issue is that I have not been able to get the flight plan to be sent to the aircraft.
It doesnāt effect me as I make my own flight plans using Little Nav Map and export that plan to Simbrief. It will open the Simbrief flight plans in the G1000 flight plan catalog screen.
Fully agree with the intial post.
Made the mistake to start freelance with medevac on Caravan (expecting better pay than medium cargo) and could not make any money : all money accumulated after 5 or 6 missions had to be spent on the mandatory maintenance.
Sold that plane and bought another in medium cargo. Not touching medevac until the devs adapt its payout.
I wish I would have checked for this thread before buying a medevac PC-12 I just compared the income between medium cargo and medevac for employee and assumed that the ratio would be similar in freelance. Hopefully the passive income is still good, I will just continue flying cargo in my other PC-12.
Yeah donāt wase your time doing Medevac, medium cargo until you get enough money to get a 737 for passenger airline missions then make so much credits and lose motivation to play since super heavy is locked.
As I could only do a small charter flight yesterday, I can now say that the medevac PC-12 at least is good for passive income. The 56min flight gave me 51390cr compared to the 49170cr of the cargo PC-12. So if I do several hours doing medium cargo, it still gives me a good amount (more than my other passive planes).
I personaly think that medium cargo pays too much and that this was intentional to āboostā progress for folks buying/playing early. The mission payouts have to be streamlined but this is tightly coupled to plane costs AND passive income.
For the current state of the game, something has to be well paying as you can get bankrupt by just loading into a mission, skipping to taxi, buying an ES-30 which destroys itself, landing just to realize that you need to park in between trees or on the top of a building, etc. The risks because of bugs is really high, if medium cargo would pay less, people would have less cushion for these occurrences. I still needed to buy a lot of aircraft for passive income and fly weeks of medium cargo to be able to have a 737, and you still cant skip to taxi with it because it will make 40mil damages, if you donāt spend time on the forums reading these before trying it, you can be punished severely. If everything would work flawlessly, then I would agree. Also maintaining your aircraft with current UI is extreme tedious, so passive income is also not without its annoyance. I hope we will get there eventually, when everything is more streamlined.
I am apparently one of the lucky ones who can skip 737 to takeoff no problem. But I remember that when I got my caravan I crashed it on first landing and had to grind vip missions to repair it only to then crash it again and again. I spent a whole week griding pc-12 at which point the game changed dramatically. Mind you it was in early December when the game was in a different state
But as Iāve mentioned before, I understand why cargo pays so well and I donāt mind. They will streamline things over the coming months/years, I just hope itās gonna happen sooner rather than later
Yeah itās frustratingā¦
Thank you for the bug report.
We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.
This has got to be a bugā¦ employee vs freelancer is only 10grand moreā¦44,000 for a 6.5hr flight? Scoff!!! 6.5 hr cargo 250,00-600,000
