BeyondATC

According to their website, yes it will be supported in FS2024. How soon after release, no idea, depends on any changes 2024 brings that may or may not require tweaking from the BATC team.

I’m sure the vast majority of popular tools/utilities like BATC will be made compatible with FS2024. The question is “when”. (and if you have to buy it again
highly unlikely with BATC, but some other utils might
)

Hopefully MSFS2024 will have a decent ATC and BATC won’t be needed.

I pretty doubt it will have something better than BATC can offer even at this moment.

based on an “informed rumour”. Maybe it’d be better to wait until confirmed facts, before jumping to conclusions?

Why are you doing this? It’s getting a bit tiring already.

It’s currently all speculation as NO dev has any access to the programming. Beyond ATC is a standalone programme so my opinion, for what it’s worth, is that only small, if any, tweaks will be needed.
I shall just wait until MSFS2024 is out in the world and a few of the more reliable Utubers report on it.
Personally I take absolutely no notice of unnamed “sources”.

Where’s your informed rumour come from? If you’re not prepared to say, then don’t say anything at all.

I get tired of people who say things to make themselves look more important than they really are.

To put it simple looks like its the best offering for the money in terms of ATC to include traffic. Perhaps later something else will come, who knows... but as it stands and as far I can see its a very good purchase for now.

So you’re a hater or a troll? Make up your mind.
You don’t like this software so go play with SI.

Folks this is getting out of hand.

What I find actually comical with the current version of MSFS 2020 ATC that the pilot voice for traffic get a response with the same voice from the controller with Azure. Cannot figure why and how that was released in that state in the first instance.

I guess I need to get the Supporters Role on Discord or whatever, but I’d like to know why this afternoon’s flight from Nairobi to Dubai in the 777-300ER doesn’t seem to register for BATC. Nairobi airport was completely empty and there’s no ATC services at all (“Frequency doesn’t exist” per the status bar). I do have the Experimental Branch active and updated (BATC auto-updated itself this morning when I launched it) and I do have traffic enabled. No traffic I can excuse because fine, it’s experimental. But I was at least expecting Ground, Tower and Departure ATC. Still about 90 minutes until TOD into Dubai so I guess I’ll see if I get any control in that phase.

I’d suggest sending the log of the flight to BATC on the Discord channel. I got the update late last night and asked this morning what it was all about , since no Patch notes were posted for it ( I think version 1.2.61 EA). The mod said it was a couple minor updates that they didn’t feel called for patch notes.

But I also encountered a “Frequency doesn’t exist” issue after that patch. I don’t remember the exact sequence of steps that preceded the message, however. I thought I did something wrong. But your situation sounds similar, making me wonder if a new issue has been introduced. Note I’m not using BATC Traffic ( don’t have the Supporter’s version).

Could it also be a problem with the scenery?

So after landing at Dubai (again, no ATC and no traffic), I generated the return leg (OMDB to HKJK). After quitting and restarting BeyondATC, I had traffic at the airport, but the same “Frequency does not exist” and no ATC. I then quit the sim entirely, generated a new flight from KSFO to PHNL, reloaded the sim, restarted BATC and this time everything was working. Maybe tomorrow I’ll refly the same flight I did today and see how it goes. I dunno.

MSFS uses azure servers for text to speech for ATC. MS doesn’t have enough AZURE servers to handle it right now so I don’t see any way 2024 ATC can match or beat BATC

I’ll repeat my route also and see what happens. I doubt it’s the scenery in my case, as I’ve flown the route with the same plane and same scenery many times before

I’m not a troll..I’m just a customer who finds the product overvalued..who demands 30 euros more to use a traffic model which may be obsolete in 2 months
but the money will have been paid by supporters
and basic customers I feel entitled to question myself
and yes I think that this product is considerably overvalued compared to the competition. which I do not quote so as not to offend the zealots.

To say “This is not worth 30 bucks for me” is completly fair.

To say “this is considerably overvalued compared to the competition” is just a fully lack of competence of value and product understanding.

“This can be obsolete in 2 months so its overvalued”:
No: Sebastian Wloch has already stated MSFS 2024 release has small ATC improvements.
However, they are working on improving ATC in a update coming later, but the work as barely started and there is NO way to say the result of this work yet.

In other words, BATC can one day be overvalued - like any other product in the world - whenever a better product is released, this risk has been clear for everyone all the time. But for those who knows BATC and the roadmap knows MSFS 2024 has a long way to go.
