I did! Wasn’t in too bad of shape either. Sold it a few years back and it’s down in the Kansas City area, last I heard. Guy who bought it drove it all the way from where I live in MN back down to KC. Had it sitting on 63" Chevy leaf springs with 35s and I was pretty proud of it you’re the only guy who’s ever seen my gamer tag and didn’t just assume I was a fan of Star Trek
For a “pusher”, FlightFX, makers of the excellent Visionjet and Hjet, are working on a Piaggio Avanti. Will be a very fast turboprop.
Actually, I thought you just liked riding your bike to barbecues with a stash of meat in a secure box, and then going for a hike in the forest!
Or maybe do some glamping whilst you are there?
Will the Duke have airframe wear and tear like the Comanche and the Tomahawk (for example landing too hard will damage the gears)?
I didn’t see any mention of airframe failures or wear and tear in the manual. And their other planes don’t have it. So I would say no.
Funny, I like a clean, shiny new plane.
Different strokes, eh?
Me too.

Ah thanks. Yes the c310 was likely the one I couldn’t remember.
That’s not true of all Turboprops. Heck some have service ceilings much lower than that anyhow. Utility type aircraft like the kodiak, caravan, pac-750 are examples of this.
Was the turbine Duke a success? I feel like two turboprop engines for a small GA aircraft must be very expensive to operate in comparison to the piston one.
Will this come to the marketplace?
no really date or clear answer given
Morning/good day everyone
live stream from TwotoneMurphy right now (today he s showing the piston, turbine will be shown on his Wednesday stream)
on youtube side, I saw yesterday those Turbine Duke preview (for those asking for non piston videos) from British Avgeek
I also recommend to give a look at JayDee’s channel if you are ok with subtitle or german speaking.
It wasn’t a success because the conversion to TP engines is costly. Small turboprops are not that of consumers because are faster in climb, more efficient and fast in higher altitude cruise and the descent is faster. On the other hand single turbine GA aircraft are more economical… but… are single engine. So saying the PC12 or a Daher are great planes, and you feel you can overpower everything, but when the engine stops you are like a rock with those fast thin wings.
Although the conversion is costly you do end up with a 300 knot aircraft and x2 new engines for a total of $1m, far less than something like a used King Air.
Blacksquare do their aircraft even cheaper
Yep, and grateful for that I truly am.
Big fan though I am of Black Square even I would balk at paying near to $1m for one of their addons
ofc, but If you are an commercial operator the Duke is not that nice due low passenger seats compared to a c90 witch is also possible to use for medical flights. The conversion is always less feasible than selling the Duke and buying a c90 or Cheyenne, and the MORE STC program gives you benefits in that combination.
So when TBO on piston Duke comes it is a difficult choice. And that is why you don’t see the Royal conversion a lot, like you would see a Meridian - Malibu JetProp.
I usually fly the SR22 with the Boris audio pack, and the sound of the piston duke sounds very similar to me, is it just me, does anyone else seem that way too?
hi, I m happy to share some update from JustFlight forum regarding the SU15 being delayed

"Hello All,
I wish I had stayed up to date responding to all your messages, because there are too many to address all of them at once now! Thank you all for your input and humor regarding this unfortunate situation.
Earlier today, I believe I arrived at a solution that should allow newcomers to steer clear of the WT GNS issue, but allow those already familiar with the issue to enjoy the aircraft on SU14 or SU15 Beta with all the GPS options.
As some of you mentioned above, 90% of the issue here was a bug introduced into the WT GNS 530/430 in SU14 that affected all other GPS units and autopilots in my aircraft. The other 10% was the new SU15 ground handling physics. The aircraft should be perfectly enjoyable on SU14, but lack some of the improved physics. On SU15, I have seen strange weathervaning when parked in high winds (>30kts), which I had hoped would be resolved by now.
Thank you all for your patience. It’s been a delight to see so many people excited for the aircraft after watching the pre-release coverage this week. There will be more coverage this week, and hopefully an official message from Just Flight and myself regarding how we decide to handle a pre-SU15 release.
Blue Skies, Everyone!

so if I don’t misunderstood, and if everything goes as expected, we may have a Duke prior to SU15
Happy to wait till after SU15 if it means they only have to fix them once.
