I think you need another program like Axis and Ohs but someone else could say for sure.
I have Spad (and AAO if required) but I canât even see what variable or LVAR I need to hook into
Loving it so far, now that I know about the carb heat!
Just wondering if anyone else uses a Honeycomb bravo throttle, if so, what do you have assigned to control the fuel pump switches?
I tried assigning them to electric fuel pumps as those worked on the Islander but doesnât seem to work with the Trislander.
I have a gyro fail indication after takeoff, and Iâm not sure what to do about it. I checked both documents provided with the addon and neither seem to address this other than saying what it is (itâs for the gyro compass of course) or what to do if the fail light illuminates. Anyone know what might be going on?
Simply means your Gyro has drifted ⊠PRESS âDâ to reset
Oh, simple enough. Thanks!
I have never used Aspen avionics before so I donât know the answer to this but is the red line below the digital ball a slip indicator?
It seems to not quite agree with the analog ball that is over in front of the prop levers. When I was in a ring turn, the red line started to appear, hen continued to grow even as I applied right rudder. I couldnât get it to indicate center even though the analog ball was centered up. Oddly enough, a bit of left rudder would make it go closer to center but that just threw me all off so I just figured it would be better to ask everyone if they have tried this or noticed? For what it is worth, I prefer the steam gauges but I was curious about the Aspen so I gave it a shot.
I do, but canât find any mapping of keys to fuel aux pumps unfortunately. Iâm lucky to have a spare set of levers though and have 3 x throttles and 3 propsâŠworks superbly!
These are the new fuel events:
K:FUELSYSTEM_PUMP_TOGGLE with an 8 for the left hand transfer pump and a 9 for the right hand (4 left aux pump, 5 right and 10 center). If you do not like toggles (e.g. mapping it to the flip switches on the bravo for example) and want on or off you also can use K:FUELSYSTEM_PUMP_ON and K:FUELSYSTEM_PUMP_OFF with the respective event numbers.
The Carb Heat is:
K:ANTI_ICE_GRADUAL_SET_ENG1 (and ENG2 and 3 respectively) with a value of 0 to 16384. This can easily be mapped to an axis with aao. I put it on a midi boards slider that way.
I have been speaking to someone who makes 3d printed levers and he is making a set specifically for the Trislander so I will wait for those (heâs already made a set for the Islander) in the meantime I am making do with 2 throttle levers with one of them controlling engine 2 and 3, i have a spare prop lever so using 3 of them and with the remaining space using 1 mixture assigned to control all 3, using the undercarriage lever for parking brake! switches assigned to engine starters and pitot heat but it does seem I cannot get it to link with the fuel pumps so will have to find some other function for those 3 switches.
How easy would it be to change the colour of the prop spinners? I thought I could get away using G-RLON and just changing the reg to G-BEVT but I just remembered the G-BEVT has 2 red prop spinners, one on the tail engine and one on thee starboard, the port spinner is white.
I normally only buy from the in-game marketplace or Orbx, but this one time I made an exception! Really looking forward to try it out tomorrow!
youâll love it!
I transferred fuel from the tip tanks to the mains tonight. That was way more fun than it should have been! That is a very cool feature.
iâm sorry this is not possible the wing engines will always have the same spinners although the rear can be differentâŠ
However, from the attached images you can clearly see that G-BEVT Spinners were sometimes red & white , sometimes white & red ⊠in fact both red & Both white can also be seen at some time, as can a Yellow rear spinner
Just shot an ILS approach to my local airport - currently a lot of a/c have trouble with it ( possibly something Navigraph did ), this one managed it perfectly even with me changing speed after GS capture.
This is also the only a/c I do repeated circuits/T&G for fun, itâs that nice to fly.
