I am deffo getting this when itā€™s released! Hopefully the dev will have the distinctive sound of the engines included as well, which was a familiar sound to me because I donā€™t live too far from EGHI.

Somewhere I have some pics of G-BEVT flying over on her last flight to Duxford.

Ooh! You MUST find those and post please!

Standard BN2 MkIII-2 2 Blade props all around

Bit of a moody sky in LMML this evening

Oooh - sheā€™s lookinā€™ good! I love how the fuselage is almost comically long ;D

I do think the two bladed prop suits this a/c

Not bad but imo some of the modelling does look a bit off. Notice the engine cowling and propeller hub area looks more round and oval on the real thing instead of appearing squarish.

Noticed that with the islander too!!

Literally unplayable.

I think it is the white livery with the light and the perspective. I think it will be ok.

Cant wait for this guys! Can you let us know of some usage cases of this plane outside of Europe?

Take a look at the current and former operators list here:

Itā€™s fairly expansive.

Itā€™s such a shame the Current Operators segment is as short as it is these days. Theyā€™re still the only plane Iā€™ve ever flown on(!) going back and forth from Southampton and Alderney since I was about 18 months old!

If I canā€™t find them(which I canā€™t at the moment), Iā€™ll ask a friend(who lives less than a mile from me) to see if heā€™s got some.

If you mean the top engine cover in the area of the inlet ( the inlet itself looks fine ) then maybe, but that might be a perspective problem too. I used to QC for a couple of modellers when I was doing systems work ( quite a while ago now ) & at some point we just decided it was good enough - mostly when you step back for a couple of days & nothing really jumps out. Iā€™ve never seen a 100% perfect model anywhere tbh, most things donā€™t jump out at you until you really inspect it ( often if youā€™re trying to duplicate a paintjob, Iā€™ve found ).

So many variations in Islanders over the years Iā€™m surprised any of them are alike at this pointā€¦ Iā€™m not sure even the fuselage cross section has stayed the same in places.

Here you go

Passing over at around 6000ft

I love any plane that looks like a kid drew it

I am so excited about the Trislander, being a massive fan as it was a regular at my local airport until they were retired. I only got to fly in one during the last years of service, ended up having five flights all in the same aircraft G-BEVT (I hope that might be considered to model as well as Joey, seeing as she was the last Trislander to fly in Europe) the first 2 flights were because initially there was talk of retiring them in 2016 so in a panic I booked a flight, flew from Southampton to Alderney and then a short hop to Guernsey (I flew back with another airline) then in 2017 they put on some special charity flights out of Southampton to raise money for the Channel islands air search. The first lot was booked up really fast but luckily for me it proved so popular they did a second one, I had some inside knowledge this was going to happen so was able to make sure I got a seat! That was fantastic, we flew out over the Isle of Wight, did a circle around the Needles then a flypast over Bembridge where the earlier Islanders and Trislanders were assembled and then headed back to Southampton, we all got a surprise when we thought we were coming into land until we heard the engines throttle up and we were treated to a low flyby over the runway before circling to land. Final 2 flights were another trip to Alderney and Guernsey, this time the plan was to be on the final Trislander flight, which I was told it was, but it turned out to be the penultimate flight as the final one was the day after. It almost did turn out to be the final flight as that morning it was very foggy and a lot of the flights that morning were cancelled, but the fog cleared so it went ahead, I got to see her take off on the first leg of the final commercial flight. My last sighting of a Trislander in flight was as she passed overhead on her final flight on the way to Duxford where she is preserved.
Anyway, sorry for rambling, itā€™s just I am so happy that Blackbox are bringing out the Trislander, to be honest i only got the Islander as I thought that might be as close as I would get to having a Trislander!
I hope they manage to recreate the unique sound, I miss that noise so much. The Aurigny aircraft actually sounded different to other Trislanders because of the prop configuration which was unique to Aurigny Trislanders.

I wish Honeycomb sold the levers individually I would do the same as you, instead I think I will just have to bind all 3 engines to a single throttle prop and mixture lever.
